So when will this topic be renamed to soccer?
When eggball does too.

Khedira to Arsenal looks almost imminent. Will be a good signing for Arsenal. More quality coming to the BPL the better considering so many left.

But eggbal doesn't make any sense, soccer is the sport you are playing, it was invented by the british, you can't use slang for it and think it's vocabularly correct.
Quote
In fact, in the early days of the sport among the upper echelons of British society, the proper term for the sport was “Soccer”.  Not only that, but the sport being referred to as “Soccer” preceded the first recorded instance of it being called by the singular word “Football” by about 18 years,  with the latter happening when it became more popular with the middle and lower class. When that happened, the term “Football” gradually began dominating over “Soccer” and the then official name “Association Football”.

It's like calling south part of Ukraine "crimea" .. it won't happen, stop trying to make it happen

Like the article suggests Association Football was always the official name of the game, "Soccer" was nothing more than a nickname similarly to how "Rugger" derived from Rugby. Similarly, many people here now refer to Football as "Footie," it's all trivial. Rugby Football has since distinguished itself as simply "Rugby" so it only makes sense Association Football is shortened to Football.
No, soccer was originally soccer, than people started calling it football, you know .. less inteligent people that had to connect two every day things to make sense of it, now it is more popularly called football

I find it funny that your own argument contradicts the source you provided.

Quote
In the 1860s, as in most of history- with records as far back as 1004 B.C.- there were quite a lot of “football” sports in existence being played popularly throughout the world and of course, England.   Many of these sports had similar rules and eventually, on October 26th, 1863, a group of teams in England decided to get together and create a standard set of rules which would be used at all their matches.  They formed the rules for “Association Football”, with the “Association” distinguishing it from the many other types of football sports in existence in England, such as “Rugby Football”.

Now British school boys of the day liked to nickname everything, which is still somewhat common.  They also liked to add the ending “er” to these nicknames.  Thus Rugby was, at that time, popularly called “Rugger”. Association Football was then much better known as “Assoccer”, which quickly just became “Soccer” and sometimes “Soccer Football”.

Soccer was a nothing more than a playground term which derived from Association FOOTBALL.

Would be quite appropriate to call it like that... At least the discussion whether to call it 'soccer' or 'football' would be over then

Selling Isco to make room for James(?) It's a better idea letting Isco develop, but meh...

Don't fool yourself, Isco had a terrible(at least not as expected) season. They did the mistake to switch Ozil for Isco, I doubt they'll do the same this time. Isco is good but not that good.

I don't think he was bought to replace Ozil, think he was bought to be a back-up for Ozil. I don't think they expected Ozil leaving.

Ozil's departure had nothing to do with Isco, it was just a matter of Ancelotti's tactic which seemed to be absurd, yet actually pulled off in the end. Apart from that, they also needed to balance the money that was spent on transfers, the same thing that they're trying to do now by selling Di Maria and Isco.

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/439326/REVEALED-Why-Carlo-Ancelotti-sold-Mesut-Ozil-to-Arsenal-and-kept-Di-Maria-at-Real-Madrid

As for Isco, he's 22 years old and still has time to develop. What they should actually being doing is getting rid of that garbage that calls himself Illaramendi.

He really only comes on as a substitute so I don't think he gets time to show what he's capable of. He was bought for a large sum for a reason, and I believe he's younger than Isco.
