So basically when the wanted person has an infernus, regular copcars cant keep up, but you could turn a coquette, sultan RS or maybe even an infernus into a car with LCPD colors, as long as it has a 2 tone colour scheme.
I turned a coquette into one and pictures are in the attachments below.
It would also make being a cop enjoyable, and high speed pursuit vehicles are realistic, there are some in every single police force in the world.

They already use the vehicles you want, regardless ARPD rules about vehicles usage . . .

Quote
9. LCPD operative is allowed to confiscate vehicle (state/private) ONLY:

A. When the owner/driver give permission for it.
B. When the owner/driver is not in the car. (The operative should inform the owner of private ones before confiscation. Exception are critical situations.)
C. When the operative is in rush for crime scene.
D. When the duty vehicle (or any other) is destroyed or empty fuel. Lack of transport. (only on missions)
E. When the driver or passanger/s is/are stated as criminal/s / suspect/s.

10. LCPD operative is allowed to use his own/state/other vehicle while on duty:

A. In tend and critical situations when there is not other duty vehicle.
B. When duty vehicle is destroyed or empty fuel.
C. When there is not other duty vehicle near the operative. (Until he finds one)
D. When the operative is in rush for a crime scene.
E. When suspect's vehicle is faster than duty ones. (eg. chases)
F. In tasks/missions when the state/owned vehicle has advantages over duty vehicle. (In some situations)

11. LCPD operative is NOT allowed to use his own/state/other vehicle while on duty:

A. When he makes a traffic stop.
B. When he patrols.

I mean cars owned by LCPD and spawning at the PD.
Not state cars.

Placing an Infernus or any other supercar at Police Departments would just cause moan and endless requests for resetting cars, as everyone would want to drive them while on duty... :D
No script support required at this moment, this can achieved by starting a sub-division of the force, which specializes in high-speed pursuits (like they used to and I believe still do in SAMP).

Yes i think blue Buffalos are still used but they are not restricted to a subdivision anyone has the option to use them, considering they are on duty that is.

I agree with IcyAero that this would result in people going on cop duty just because they want to drive supercars. In the other hand i do agree that police needs a way to handle with high-speed car chases. The subdivision that handles the high speed chases is and excellent idea, what are the procedures of creating one?

The comments above can give you our answer. Yes, such idea passed through our minds too but in the end you have to think about the consequences or better said - its use. The procedures allow you to use faster vehicles - problem solved. Considering the return of the car hp in the close future the chases won't last as now even if the suspect/criminal has super car.

Edit after Martin's reply:

The abuse can be easly avoided by restricting the car to officer+, I am not counting it as a problem. About the high speed chase division, we are still small to think about another sub but yes the idea is good and I am almost sure that it will be implemented in future.

Yea the cration of some sort of division would be a good idea.
Liberty city speed enforcment department?
That would be realistic, since speed enforcment departments use supercars.
EDIT!:::
look what i found on wikipedia
The Camden County Sheriff's Office, Georgia has a Dodge Viper
The Ipswich, Massachusetts, Police Department operates a silver Toyota Celica Supra Mark II
The Dearborn, Michigan police department utilizes a yellow Ford Mustang GT
The Westfield, New Jersey Police Department uses a seized Chevy Tahoe with scissor doors and 24-inch chrome wheels(i wonder what they use that for XD)
The Superior, Wisconsin Police Department has a Chevrolet Corvette that was seized in a drug bust,
The Utah Highway Patrol use two unmarked Subaru Impreza WRX STi's to combat street racing in the Salt Lake City area.
The Harrisonburg Police Department in Virginia has a Ford Mustang that was seized in a drug bust
The Harrisonburg Police Department in Virginia has a Ford Mustang that was seized in a drug bust
The Colton and Chino Police Departments each had a Chevrolet Corvette in their fleets.
The Montville police department uses a 1974 Chevrolet Corvette for high-speed pursuits.
The town of Amherst uses a Chevrolet Corvette as the chief's car.
The Bloomfield Hills police department has several Chevrolet Corvettes.
The Wake County Sheriff's office use a Corvette Z06 That was seized from drug dealers
(lol a lot of corvettes.....)
And Lets not start on europe.... "In 2004, Lamborghini donated two Lamborghini Gallardo police cars to the Polizia di Stato on their 152nd anniversary. On the 31st November 2009 one of these 165,000-euro cars was written off in a road accident near the northern Italian town of Cremona."
It would only be realistic if the occasional supercar was on the law enforcers side...

well for criminals i believe it would be more interesting to have a supercar on supercar(s) chase, coz the cops don`t fall back in the first seconds of the chase.

It is not a cops and robbers server. If criminal evades he should do it cause he doesnt want to get caught.

And like Batta quoted already:

Quote

Another thing is that LCPD freecops should coordinate their work and instead of working against each other E.g ramming fellow officers in police pursuit in order to get better position in the chase. Instead they should conduct roadblocks and start working as a team cause thats what they are.
