Torrents are simply a way of downloading things. As long as you do not refer to downloading illegal content then the topic won't be locked/removed.

Depends on how many seeders and leechers it has.
If a download has around 100 seeders and around 50 leechers, it should go fast.

But 50 seeders and 100 leechers should be impossible / extremely slow to download.

Try limiting your upload speed, at least when you have active downloads. If it's unlimited, it might actually clog your download.

Try also right clicking the torrent > Bandwidth allocation > High - Usually speeds mine up a little.

What torrent client are you using? (utorrent, vuze, bitcomet)

What port are you using? Check in your preferences.

But I do find that some torrents are just generally faster than others.
