Check that, it will show your specs, and how good they are/your PC is.

With only 256mb of graphics ram you will experience graphical issues textures missing etc. If that processor is a single core it certainly will not run great if you manage to get it running.

I see your edit, I believe that Celeron is a single certainly no chance.

Just so that we can all be sure download, install and run a program called CPUID CPU-Z.

Post us, your processor and package name and also your Motherboard Manufacturer and Model.

Then we can judge weather it really would be worth an upgrade.

Yes wouldn't be much worth it to upgrade in all honesty. The motherboard can support up to a core 2 duo which is reasonable but it only supports upto 2GB of DDR 2 Ram, 1 GB in each slot.

Yes but it won't read it, only 2GB will show as that is the maximum if i've correctly understood how it was written. Your motherboard only has two memory slots too. Both of those items you selected would work yes, Ram would clock itself down from 800mhz to 533mhz as the latter is the maximum your motherboard can give.

I would rather you save your money for a while longer and buy more recent parts as the 775 socket is rather dated and so is DDR 2.

Even though that processor is a far better improvement over the single core you currently have it will still not suitably play GTA IV.
