Random Timeouts

Does anybody else get the Random timeouts from anything Argonath related
(Where all Argonath/Paruni servers and websites stop working)

This only happens for the stuff hosted in Germany, the US based hosted sites like http://adf.argonathrpg.com/ still work but everything else stops responding

Yes. I have the same problem. Both samp and teamspeak timeout for random periods of time.

and its not the ISP, I have one of the best internet providers in the United States.

I havn't experienced any timeouts really, did this happen yesterday? Since I had some players asking me if the server was up.

Maybe someone was route banned, and every so often your IP range clashes with the banned one.

I've spoken with Gandalf about this a few times. It's issues between the hosting services, unknown issues, and constant activity or updates wearing the server down during certain hours. Because the community is donation/free-based, the equipment used is only what the Server Owners themselves can afford. The only way we can fix this is by helping them out more. Unfortunately, though, with a good portion of this community being underage, we must rely on clicking on advertisements to make any sort of revenue that doesn't come from the users themselves.

Cannot we just get adverts which are not pay per click, but rather, pay per month?

I wouldn't mind seeing a couple more adverts, it's a trade-off for being able to play here.

Pay per month advertisements cost a certain amount to display in the first place. Gandalf had some ideas regarding it, but it's still a work-in-progress thing.

Agreed. Don't get Argo banned from using the ads.
