The police officers, i duno... They are just standig with there machineguns and watching traffic or setting up roadblocks as far as iv seen... The citizens, well many are friendly and like to share there life experience and talk with you but some are more or less harrasing you to join there trip to the desert or what ever they might offer you. But just ignore those guys

Of course. Minister of the Interior (Police forces) is trying to clear the country from criminals and make it a safe place for the tourists because they bring about 15 billion dollars per year to Egypt.

Pancher, you shouldn't stay til 25 Jan because I heard loads of civilians will protest to remove army from the command.  :roll:

My cousin went to Egypt 2 years ago, she told me that EVERYONE wants money from you.

Probably "Secretary" or "soldier", those are the lowest ranks in the Egyptian police forces and they are below "police officer" rank, consider them as ARPD officers *coughs*. But that doesn't mean they can scam the tourists, she should have reported him to the authorities.
