New laptop - Need help!!

Hey guys i got a new laptop and i dont know how to configure the webcam, how do i fix it D:?

We need more details to help.


To check if it has drivers installed:

Start
Computer
System Properties
Device Manager
Under Imaging Devices it will have the webcam if its installed,

if not you will see some Yellow sign looking things with excamation marks in them saying unknown device or similar, if so, try the disks that came with the laptop and install the drivers.


You could try using the search function in start and search for camera or webcam or cam to see if anything comes up.


Ussually Laptops come with the drivers pre-installed, so you will have to see what program it uses to configure it, you could always just try video chat on Omegle or similar to see if it picks up that you have a webcam.

First of all, what Windows do you have?
Laptop name and model might also be useful...

Orite the laptops name is MSI cx623 and under the device manager there is no image drivers. please help ://

Try pressing Fn+F6, it should be webcam shortcut for this laptop.
If it doesn't help, look on the F[number] keys, should be webcam icon(or something similar, then press Fn+that F[number] key.

Try using your webcam on some sort of video chat.

If not, try finding the CDs that came with your laptop, on them could be the drivers/programs you need.

Try searching for a webcam program if one is already installed.

"I dont seem to have a webcam, if I do re fresh" the button thing doesnt work either, the icon comes up but no output, Im not sure which drivers to install for the webcam..

Try this:

Try pressing Fn+F6, it should be webcam shortcut for this laptop.

The fn thing shows that the webcam is activated but it doesnt work anywhere...
