Well. Dont you decide by yourself to post your email adress or not?
They could simply just type "Check your PM" on the email line and send PM if they feel like it.

It's entirely the person's choice to post their email or not. If they don't feel comfortable posting it in public they can always PM it to him or message it to him in some other form. But I've never seen or heard of a rule that somehow disallow people from asking for others emails..

I do agree with this, I always say its in profile instead of stating it directly, private information should be kept private.
