I dont know, and many new players have no clue what T3, T4 is.. Whats 1.7 of something? Whats RS2? And what we are running? And what is the difference? And what is better and what not.. Could someone clearly and formaly explain all these versions for others like myself to know what exactly are they and why should we care and be waiting for them?

1.7, I believe, is the current version of script that Argonath IV:MP server is now running. Where as RS2(Rockstar Scripts 2) is the upcoming version of Argonath script that will comprise new features and gameplay. Of course the RS2 will be better than 1.7 because of the new features.

And as of T3, T4 and stuff, I guess they are the IV:MP versions, T4 being the most stable(?).

You are right about everything except T4 being the most stable version cause in fact T4 has not been released yet, but I sure hope it will be stable version :D

Hey,

As you can see in the attachment we are currently running on the IV:MP 0.1 T3 version, released on April 15 2011, 17:52:37.
1.70 is the version of the Argonath Scripts we're currently using (revision 1)

RS2 is the upcoming script version made by IV:MP Scripters (DellStorm and Armelin at the moment), the next "big" step which will include (probably) major changes.

T4 instead is the upcoming version of the IV:MP client. Unfortunately nothing we can do with its release date . . .

So what I understood, is that GTA IVMP Client version is T3 (Test 3). This is the reason why server is partly unstable. Crashes and so on.. Hopefully when T4 Will come out, It will come out to be "Better".

So we are using SOMETHING 1.70. I assume that is our scripting client that our scripters use. Is that correct?
You also mentioned that RS2 is in development. It is also a scripting client, which is developed by DellStorm and Armelin at the moment? This should allow us to add more stuff to server and open up wider possabilities? Will that resolve some of our server stability Issues?

RS1.7 and RS2 are the script versions not script clients. It's just like Rami's car vehicle/dealership programme version, his V1 didn't have much features/information but his new version has much more needed information. It's the same, RS2 will have much more features than 1.7 has.

Nope, scripting is not made with a version of something. A script is a script.

Anyway also T4 will be a Beta version so we will still crash probably but less. New features should be added aswell, maybe animations, who knows . .

1.70 is the version (version in this case = name, release) of the Rockstar Script we are using. It's not a "program" or something like that, it's an ensemble of scripts. 1.70 could also be called " hello lol " it's just a number/name to indicate the version.

TX : (1, 2, 3, 4..etc) is the version of the IV:MP Client, T stands for 'Test', so it's Test1, Test2..etc.

RSX : RS stands for RockStar (Which is the attended name for Argonath's server scripts). X (1, 2..etc) is the version of that script.

X.XX : This shows you the percentage of the current used RS version (Script version). We are now in the version 1.70, which is close to 2.00 (RS2).

So there are only 2 Categorys:
    • Server Version (T3)
    • Script Version (RS 1.7)

We Install Server Version, and argonath developers play with Script Versions. That solved a lot of confusion. Thank you.

Well, technically the number before the decimal point is the R it is in.

IV:MP is currently in script version 1.7, the 1 indicates that it's RS1

When they move into 2.0, 2.1 etc, it will be RS2

That's my take on it anyway.
