Character background and character development focus.
It's not a new topic for us, but seems that veterans (including me) are not adding effort or are not coming on development of the new members (or new players) in regards to this roleplay key which is very important.
Having a character background it's vital in roleplay. You will have a point of start let's call it "
0 Point". From this point you go
forward or
backward, everything depends on the situations which you put yourself into.
Why it's very important having this background? According to our psychology,
players tend to respect more the ones which represent worthy something, doesn't matter how the character it's builded, if you be the mirror of your story, you will enjoy every moment when you're in interaction with someone or everyone, since you tend to have an objective. Being "ghost" and roleplaying perfectly doesn't give you the ability to win or to lose something.
When it comes to win and lose we must accept both as facts. We must not avoid the "fate" which is in front by choosing easy ways. Example:
You're surrounded for any reason from ten law enforcers. You don't like to be caught and taken under investigations, so you choose to withdraw an weapon and shot, in order to provoke them to kill you, so you can respawn somewhere else and continue you thing. This is wrong. You must be
flexible and
adaptive with what you have in front. There is no way out, so you must comply with common sense and healthy thinking. Example was regarding cops, but might be rival organization etc etc etc.
What have to do your background with the moments are shown in front? Since you choose your own character, you must stick with it until the last moment. It's true that Argonath RPG provides variety of roleplay and don't force being part on only track. But when it comes to the group that you represent, you're obligated to stay within borders which the group have build with ideas and principles. Ideas which clearly are transmitted by oldest members which turn to be your friends for a time.
The development of your character must have
progress and
regress. Progres it's known, you grow up, you increase your circles, your credibility and your skills. Regress, you found yourself in situation which there's no easy way out, you get beaten, shot and rob, for any reason, you must accept that you're victim in this situations, and you must act like it. Being "terminator", "stubborn" don't give you respect, but instead, label you as non roleplayer etc.
During the progress of the development we must know with whom we are dealing. We can't treat all players equal, are players which are known as high ranks in criminal world, so we must show respect and adapt, doesn't matter if they are enemy or hated. You never show violence, and you must keep always the conversations clean.
Weapons usage. It's not a secret that lately has been seen as the only way to solve the "problems" but it's not.
The moment that you chose the "gun way" must be always the last option. Yeah yeah it's GTA, but if you're hoping for progress in a serious matter of roleplay, being "trigger happy" don't fit in roleplay server.
After having always in mind those (let's call it little Tips) the progres or regres is up to your imagination. The imagination is based on your objectives. Objectives tends to come from your background (the 0 point). Once you build strong background with real objectives, progres is just matter of imagination, based on common sense and adaptation of the situations which are in your front, which are supposed to be dealt wisely, including the lose and win. Remember that we can't win always, and there's nothing bad to lose in a roleplay.
1001 Secrets!
The storm has been arrived in the valley. While the habitants of the province were turning off the lights and going to sleep, a family was awake in anxiety waiting for everything to go alright, until the birth of Mario happened in success. Glory and the happiness light up the faces of the poor family, which as a shock stuck in the eyes of the youngster which recently has a brother, Johan. Quiet kid which grow up caring for his little brother, remembering always the expression and the happiness of his family when his brother came alive, was that moment when he realizes that his brother is someone important in his life. The days becoming months and the months becoming years, the poverty on the valley has been spread the roots in every home. Accepting the reality, the family chose to migrate. Leaving the warm home, and going through the unknown mists, only the god knew what fate reserved for the family.
When the only problem of the family was to survive and feed its children, the oldest ones chosen to step on strange paths which they weren't habituated with. Being alifiled with criminal organizations, smuggling alcohol and cigarettes, served for eating and clothing everyone in family. The payout hasnt come yet when the father of the two childrens was found shot and dead in the way for home. Peoples said that government organized actions against ilegal activities which resulted in the death of many workers. Workers which were obligated to do many similar duties, for the sake of existence but it's clear that none made the accounts of the pay outs.
Being delinquent and labeled as the worst behavior, the little Mario was growing up, violent and explosive in all aspects, forced the older brother, Johan, to take care for him in every ambient and situation. The black eyes and bloody fists were daily pattern of Mario now. Finding himself caught in many dangerous situations made his fear fade completely and his heart a stone. While Johan, known since his teenage days as reasonable person and very calm which never lost his temper, involving himself in Mario's problems.
Not having proper education, didn't stop Johan think for his future and a way how to make few dollars to live. Starting with his brother, Mario, which has been turned completely serious, the ones who saw him during that period said that he never used to smile, raising curiosity what's happening inside his head something which forced the peoples which surround him to have tension when had to direct to him. So the brothers started getting involved in many organizations.
Was a period when the drug business was focused in only exportation, sine in country of argonath domestic usage was in minimum. Knowing the risks of the drugs and what that will bring to future of many users, was always a concern for Johan which always thought that: Well, no one is forcing them to use, they are paying for it, it's their problem. But still was a concern.
| After making enough capital, Johan, having zero records and involves, found the way out from that life and invested all his capital in warehouses in Linden Side, Las Venturas.The place where the first family business would be based. Business which served as opportunity of money laundry and the establishment of "Soprano Management Anonymous Society" which shareholders were the two brothers Mario and Johan. Working daily, the ego was being pushing the limits feeding the greed and objectives of the brothers which weren't alone. They raised an solid crew. |  |
Soprano Crew, also known as Sultan Army. Started shortly stepping in management of territories, taxations, shark loaning, mainly in the city of Las Venturas which seemed to have the smallest number of habitants. While the business was at its finest, the crew turned to fully organized crime family led by the two brothers which started the investments in Los Santos and San Fierro. It's said that Johan Soprano, never killed someone, but his brother completely the otherwise, organizing and getting involved in death of many concurrents and not only.
 | Raising in number, pushed the family to arrange new buildings which resulted in purchase of Missionary Hill from Argonath Defence Force. Which becomes the first place in San Fierro where family decided. But still the main base continued the old compound in las venturas. |
Lasted for a long period until Soprano Family fully established in south of San Fierro, after the purchase of Avispa Country Club which turned to be the main compound and as main business "Avispa Country Club Hotel & SPA". Ancient building which costed Fourteen Millions ARD, recorded as the most expensive owned building recognizing the Soprano Family as the one of the strongest corporations in Argonath with a net worth which surpass Thirty Millions ARD where the main share holders continue the two brothers.
The corporation which is being lead from family, has numerous businesses, including real estates, weaponry, events, resorts and nightlife clubs. The most prestigious buildings are being under the management of the Corporation.
The little crew which now has its own pole, raised many many key persons of this country. Key persons: Dominik, Dennis, Kenawa, Alessandro, Rei, Erion, Olti etc. Legends: Eldi, Endri, Skerdi, Alberto, Deka etc.
Facts about Johan:
It's sportive person, works daily in Avispa Country Club where the hall is daily busy from numerous meetings, and take cares for flowers and garden. Wears always casual with simple shirt and jeans. Aparrence seems to be around 1.83 meters brown eyes and blonde hairs, light white skin. Rides an NRG 500 with plate numbers 141-LV and is always lighty warmed with his registered handgun Desert Eagle calibre 50.
