Hi everyone.
We have now reached a final decision about who will be recruited as moderators; this will be published tomorrow in SA:MP General and recruitment will begin on Monday.
We will be taking on 23 new moderators which is more than can be handled in one go; we will recruit in three waves with two weeks in between which means the final wave will begin on the 9th April. The entire list will be published tomorrow along with the information about which wave each new recruit will be in; if you anticipate some problem with the date your recruitment will be you must contact me as soon as possible so you can be placed into another wave.
Please be sensitive to the time of the HQ member who will be handling your orientation and training; make an effort to work around them as much as you can even if that means coming online earlier than you normally would or staying on later. If you see that you have been accepted it is advised that you install and join TeamSpeak as you may be asked to use that for orientation; note you do not need to be able to speak on TeamSpeak for this. Instructions for setting up TeamSpeak are found
here.
The people in the first wave will be sent a forum PM with the MSN details of those who may cover your training, please make sure you add them as soon as possible.
All new recruits will be on a strict two month evaluation period where your conduct, activity and performance will be closely monitored by both the HQ team and the admins who will observe and feedback to us how you are getting on. We aim to get as many of you through this evaluation successfully but it is not guaranteed that you will all make it through. We are not expecting that you won't make any mistakes, but we are looking for you to accept feedback in a positive way and improve from it; providing you are able to do that, and you don't go inactive without informing us, it is likely that you will pass your evaluation.
Tomorrow all applications will be removed from the SA:MP Moderator Applications board but not deleted; if you are not successful on this occasion this does not mean your application has been declined permanently and when we open applications again we will move your application back into the main board so you can update them again as you wish.
We have been blessed with a high standard of candidates and the ones we have selected tick all the boxes for us including activity levels, clean recent punishment histories, majority support of the staff and have been shown through log checks to have a genuine interest in helping others.
Thank you all
Kojak
