First off I apologise if this is in the wrong place, and for being "That Guy". I really did not want, and tried to avoid, having to complain to admins or make a "complaint" thread. I just saw no other way forward after in game attempts at communication.

Whilst ive been making this thread and stood in the desert, completely unarmed, i have been killed, four five Six, this time feat. a car! times by the Soprano's. I have reported each killing and I did receive a message a while ago that an admin was looking into it, alas i believe the same person has killed me twice more since then.

Edit: An example event, today. A while after I logged on i became a medic, i felt like trying out being an air rescue pilot or such, within about 2 minutes of me taking off a bike with two sopranos appeared and they opened fire, i just flew away as you do. About 5 minutes later the same bike found me again whilst i was trying to heal someone, this time with a car as well, they all opened fire on me, i jumped back into my chopper and once again i flew away (sorry to whomever I abandoned my healing on btw ).
This repeated itself a few times until my friends and another gang got on and help me, note that i never died during this (I had been killed in two previous, seemingly random attacks by sopranos). As soon as we gave chase to them and killed one or two of them i found myself having to explain our actions to an admin, he responded saying something along the lines of "Well what do you want me to do, i have to do something with the reports" This implies to me that after several reports on the same people they HAVE to take action? Surely not. I wont mention the admin or other gangs name as they seemed like nice enough guys, dont want them in any bother.

I and my friends have recently started playing on the server and thus far have enjoyed it, however whenever we run into either of these two gangs it ends up in them attacking us, us killing them, and then some of our members being reported and most recently even tempbanned.

More commonly, ill join the game and spend the next 10 minutes or so being chased/harrassed by any mixture of the two gangs despite myself being unarmed and having reported them to the admins multiple times to no avail.

We are all entirely new to the server and so have very little money, we have no want nor reason to start randomly attacking people, we would just like to play the game and maybe even get a chance at some roleplaying, however it is impossible to move around the map whilst these people are around constantly harassing us even when I take to the skies.

I understand that the admins must be busy and appreciate that, however one gets the impression that - for lack of a better way to put it - the admin(s)  are "on their side". I know this isnt the case (hopefully?!) but that is the impression that my friends and I have.

I have also heard many many other players complaining specifically about issues like this regarding these same two gangs and as the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire.

Its also worth pointing out that I personally have tried talking with both groups regarding an end to this only to be met with responses like "lol no talk with toriyama" "Wait me leader else we kill" and my favourite "I kill me whenever see you".

Edit: I apologise to the few members of these groups that are fine players, but i have to say the vast majority, in my experience, are not.

report them for forcing roleplay, word (remember to inform them that you do not wish to roleplay with them first, else they will have no idea)

I (we) have tried to report them, though not for that specific reason. Besides I dont think you could call randomly firing on us as we log in/ride around without any sort of word or reason, roleplay or even forced roleplay.

Multiple reports coming in all for one or a group of players is certainly going to gain the attention of the administration as it makes it more obvious that something is not right and more of a chance they will be observed for sometime afterwards.

Administration and sides? There are non we are to keep in-between and fair as possible that the situation allows and to whoever is involved.

So why is it that despite many people raising issues about these two gangs that apparently no action has been taken to stop their apparent "DMing". Yet when we return fire we are questioned by admins and some of my friends even tempbanned for killing them after they open fire first?

And surely if all the reports are coming from the same gang they should be treated as one report only, i hope getting all my friends to report someone doesnt somehow increase said reports validity?

Action will be taken on the individuals who involve themselves in supposed deathmatching not whole group(s). Only if every member of the group is involved then yes they will incur group punishment. If you are returning fire to them and are stopped by administration you've got to bear in mind that the admin may not have seen what happened prior so will not be fully aware. Usually this means the administration will end up freezing individuals (if need be) and having a little chat.

Does not increase validity. If over time reports keep coming in for a particular person or people it will certainly in our minds make us think that person may actually be up to no good.

Thanks for you responses, i understand about admins turning up after the fact or midway, however in that instance my friends were tempbanned without any discussion, but that is in the past.

Hopefully the I gang and Soprano's will be a little more "in your minds" from this thread

When the sapranos attack us without any warning (other than that our families are at war) nothing happens and they get away with it.

Showing favoritism twords a group is a good way to make your community hate you, just saying.

I reported them both

I just find it to be favoritism because when we get reported there is an admin up our ass less than 10 minutes later.
We report them (3 of us no less) nothing seems to happen.

It has also come to my understanding that the admins do not ban without "Proof". If thats so then it should be explained to Team_Shryiken (or w.e his name is) before he throws out 60 minute bans based on nothing but the word of a crying saprano

How do you know there was not a moderator watching you earlier? Moderators cannot tempban, so may have waited for an administrator.

How do you know the admin who temp banned you wasn't already watching you? You don't it's not possible.

When nothing happens you have to take into account that we may be low on available administration members, it may be they are handling other administration related tasks, reports, or are simply not online. If you see the message that alerts the reporter that an admin is looking into their report, you can be pretty damn sure that something is happening, it may not be what you want to happen but it is something nonetheless.

You should calm down next time, try to explain them the rules and report them. If the admins will see that they'll probably and supposed to take action againts them. After all, if the admins missed something, they're human beings to.

Thats the time to be the Daddy, Its the time to scream at them telling them to stop to negotiate! Thats the way they listen, if they don't, only choice is to stand there or run, Do not try to be a smartass or you'll only earn yourself a tempban.

The Immortals already have been given notice that their form of 'criminal roleplay' is at times beyond what we see as acceptable violence.
I am sure the Sopranos, if caught in similar acts, will be given a similar notice.

The fact that you notice admin punishment makes it clear that admins handle reports. Howerver while you do notice what happens to the people directly around you, often you do not notice what happens to other people. Rest assured there is no favouritism, but people do remember their own punishment better aas that of others.
