Seriously though, I don't think I have. I've only said that I believe the amount of inventions we have are decreasing...you clearly do not understand how I like to write. I tend to speculate...instead of a narrow-minded view, I like to write all my thoughts down. If I appear to contradict myself, it is because I want to bring in arguments for different points of view

Even long-distance communication existed before phones and telegraphs.

Inventions nowadays are often limited to practical usage of existing concepts. A new concept is pretty rare, tough it does exist. Currently most real inventors are working on nanotechnology. Not only for computer processors, but the ability to arrange atoms by choice offers very interesting possibilities.

Even by your definition of inventions the rate of which new inventions are come up with is accelerating. In the medieval ages new invention took centuries to become to be while now it is decades or mere years.

Although I'm not talking only on inventors, I would like to tell on Venn F, Brown (If I remember his name right), nazi member that failed his education but was enough smart to make the 1st missale that could fly above 1 kilometer above the ground.

School does not have to be interesting. It should teach basic knowledge, from a start that you need to a point where you want to have it. After that you go in to the real world to use your factual knowledge and learn how to couple it with real life problems.

My main problem with modern education is that it forces you in to accepting thought patterns. If you have a mind of your own, you will get low grades as you do not comply with the preferred pattern.
This creates people who are easily influenced by mass media and follow the mainstream instead of making up their own mind through exchange of opinions. A perfect example is Wikipedia. It can contain factual errors that can not be edited out because a mainstream opinion believes in them.

That's true. But as you said in the second column, it's not how it ends. It continues to be a pattern, where any whatsoever other splendid opinion will be wrong.
Usually - schools do not educate people through tough life happenings. Here in Sweden, which is one quite good country overall, even though we have a lot of backsides, which is never brought to daylight of course; we do not have the possibility to educate and learn from proper and regular life experiences. If the school could offer better real life subjects, sexual education is one, but is faaar behind the level of good.

Some people would say the internet helped decrease the average in intelligence or raise the average level of stupidity, but I would disagree. All it did was make it easier to show, just like how few natural disasters made history in the past compared to now, since methods of documentation were less advanced.

You have like age 14's banging in the bushes, getting pregnant then leaving school and having a kid that follows in their path.

The reason so many people are just to lazy to get an education is their parents. Parents set an example for their kids, for example doctors don't raise little chavs, their kids have a good education because they follow in their parents path.
