Then and now.

The Zancocchio Connection finds it origin in Trapani, Sicily, acting as a small time crew.
Formed and led by Vincenzo Zancocchio in the early 40s, the crew found their business in extorting small shops, loan sharking and dealing of narcotics. Having peaceful relations with all Sicilian families gave the family a great opportunity to grow large and expand business. When Vincenzo was visiting one of his pawn shops in 1970, he suffered from a seizure, instantly killing him.

It was a time of insecurity after Vincenzo's dead. The underboss, Leonardo Vizzini, took over his position, taking over the whole empire. Because of Leonardo's attitude, alliances broke and Leonardo decided to move the empire to San Andreas.

After settling in Los Santos in 1982, Leonardo met the other families in town.
The other families were not pleased with the advent of the Connection.
Leonardo worked himself into deep problems with extorting other family's businesses and sudden assaults on their associates.

One day, Leonardo visited his nephew, Vito Santorini, in hospital, which moved to Los Santos with his mother a while ago.
Upon exiting the hospital, Leonardo was assaulted by one of the family's, what became fatally.
There was no suitable leader to pick up the role as don, and the Connection fell apart.

In 2002, Vito discovered Leonardo's business. He wanted to continue where his uncle stopped.
In three months, he rebuilt the empire as it was before Leonardo's death.
