LOL'd at this option.

Currently using Avira, since that's what the technician put when he reformatted. Will update to another Antivirus when I have time.

Sorry, had to do something.

Avira is the biggest shit I ever had.

Avira. Does it's job and it isn't annoying like AVG that blocks everything.

Which reminds me, I have to download it, have been without an Antivirus for a week.

Agreed.

Using AVG right now, been happy with it so far, and is still one of the more recommended (free) ones out there.

I'm convinced Microsoft Security Essentials has the most features of a free anti-virus.

My local IT store swears by:

Microsoft Security Essentials - XP
AVG Free- Vista + 7
Kaspersky - Best Antivirus that you pay for

Norton in my experience bogs down your PC like a rabbit in elephant turd  :devroll:

In regards to what I actually use, I use nothing. Let me put forward my argument:

1. Nothing important is done on my PC
2. Scans and updates are annoying
3. I do what I want without Antivirus blocking it
4. If theres an issue, I re-install the operating system from scratch, format the disc, reinstall

Plus Antivirus never seems to block anything anyway, the only program I actually have is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, it's FANTASTIC!

Uh, depends, if you're a nerd hardcore downloader, yes.

If not, no.

I used to use ESET SS but now I'm using AVG IS with Malwarebytes on standby in case AVG can't detect something. Have never had problems with either, and neither have let anything slip through.

I use norton and McAfee internet security.

You should never use more than one AV at once. Can cause false positives and other bad things. If Norton came on your PC and it's outdated (which it probably is), uninstall it and only use McAfee.

Isn't that really bad for your PC?

Yes, point-blank. Just because you're not a "nerd hardcore downloader" doesn't mean you shouldn't have some type of protection. Think of it like sex. If a girl tells you she's not a slut hardcore sex freak does that mean you won't put a raincoat on? Think of AV as a condom for your PC. You have to protect your PC when you put it in the internet (pun intended xD).

The only exception to this is Linux.  :)
