People are actually shy/nervous to buy cigarettes now?
this might be exclusive to shy as f**k people.

My idea was more of a throwaway musing than anything else.
It's still a good idea to do that, many people do not want to have to look at the tobacco display every time they go through the till.

If you really want to stop children and minors from smoking, pass a law that would fine/jail/execute parents who allow their children to do so.

One thing that eludes my understanding is why people continue to buy cigarettes with little to no intention of quitting, especially after labels such as "SMOKING KILLS" (in capital letters and all) were put on the cover, particularly in my country.

Enjoy lung cancer and slow suicide.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

I don't see how smoking makes your live less boring.. Maybe because it forces you to socialize with other people if you forgot your lighter? Once you started smoking you will keep needing it to feel relaxed and/or release your stress. However if you never started smoking, you will never need a cigarette to feel relaxed.

About the main topic. I think it is good, but as said, it will probably not help that much. However it will also not increase the smoking rate. I believe this will show results on a long period of time.

I know the government makes alot of money of taxes through smokers, but they should still get rid of cigarettes altogether, they are spending just as much money enforcing all these regulations about smokers/shops selling cigarettes that they may aswell just do it, people wouldn't need to smoke to relax if they didn't start in the first place.

capital letters
ooh shit

I think my body has an immunity to nicotine of some kind (I'm a scientist, ok) as it seems impossible to actually get addicted even given that I smoke whenever I drink a lot (which is 1 or more times a week).
Which is of course, rather fucking nice.

Calculate the amount of taxes smokers earn for the government and you will understand why they do not really want to stop it.
+1

Im from East London, near the olympics yet people in my year (year 10) are still getting served tabbaco AND alcohol.
What has the world come to?!

Hoping to be unbanned soon :)

That you can do something about, shop the owners for breaking laws. Usually it's the little local stores that do it assuming they will get away with it. If someone doesn't report it, they will end up being caught when trading standards randomly send a young kid through their door to purchase those items.

It's not just England and the rest of the United Kingdom creating similar laws, most other countries are following suit as well, including France.

Yes. But why ban smoking if you are selling it? It doesn't make sense.
