DJ applications - accepted DJs
Many thanks to all those who applied to become Argonath Radio DJs - we were overwhelmed by the size of the response, and the quality of some of the demos.
Those who are listed below will shortly receive a forum PM with more information - please
read it very carefully.
If you are not listed below, you were not accepted. There is always next time to try again!
This time we were looking for DJs with experience, and also we have found some who applied who have no experience, but show a great talent for broadcasting. In the next intake wave, we hope to accept more people who are not experienced, by using this current intake to help train them if they are accepted.
Radio is about sharing. It's the only medium I can think of, where you learn so much about someone, their life, etc., by means only of their voice. That's why we believe having a microphone is important and using it is even more so. Those worried about the sound of their voice, their level of English skill, or any other thing, shouldn't be worried about applying - since this is an international community, and the only way to improve is to practise! And what better way to practise, than while having fun with friends?
As I said before, the Management team had a very difficult decision to make, indeed we deliberated for 6 hours through the night while most of you were asleep, to come to our decision, and we feel that the right people have been selected.
For this reason, I do not want to see flame or anger posted here. Be happy for those that were chosen, and know you are free to apply next time.
So, my speech is over, and for those who read it - thanks. I meant every word.
