Warning - buying weapons from others

Hi,

We have been through such situations before where people hack weapons and sell them and the people who buy those weapons get banned.

If you choose to buy weapons from other people - that is fine. But if those people are hacking weapons and selling it and it is seen that you did not take any adequate safeguards to check if the person could possibly be hacking - then you will be held accountable for aiding and abetting a weapon hacker. Bans will be placed on such people, weapons will be removed from storage and a minimum of 1 month ban will be made.

Be warned. Play safe and buy weapons from Ammunation alone. Others will promise you cheap weapons. If you take the bait and buy it, you may be risking a lot of time in the unban section.

Although sometimes recognize hacker could be pretty hard, next tip, usually hackers hacks huge amount of ammunation, first of all ask for the amount he has. After that you may buy, if it makes sense for you. Prefer to buy from the ammunations around SA.

I can only say, be cautious who you buy weapons from, use all the safety measures that you can.

I bet 90% of players are buying weapons from Ammunation and dont need to buy weapons from other players. But still there are hackers moving around, thanks for warning.

Here you have some guidelines from Cutt3r, would have said the same thing but he already pointed it out in an unban request.

Simple common sense ways of knowing if a person is doing something wrong, especially when it comes to weapons:

1. Check whenmade.
2.  Think logically - 'is it possible that a player who has been here just 10 days can get so much weapons?' or 'why is he selling it so cheap?'
3. The best option is to buy weapons from people whom you know, people who have been on server for a long long time(6+ months).

If you do not want to heed the above guidelines, it is upto you but you stand the risk of being banned. As stated through PM, I have unbanned you(being the ban made before warning on SAMP general was given), will remove your weapons soon.

I always find it suspicious how people get weapons so cheap to sell them ahead. Anyways, I always do /whenmade and check with online admins before making any such deal. Never bought from someone with /whenmade newer than 2010.

Not sure about others, but I've personally bought about 28k M4 ($2 per bullet), 27K Combat ($1/bullet), 30K Deagle($1/bullet) and 30K Sniper($10/bullet) outside Ammunation, most of which I still have.

Off topic - Looking to buy loads and loads of pepper spray (Not illegal I guess, it can only be used for self defense ) . I wonder if anyone sells it tho.  :razz: Maybe some M4 too. :cool:

On other note, I gave the amount of weapons I have along with price of them just to show how unbelievable it is. I do not sell weapons. So, Don't bother annoying me asking if I'm going to sell them.

Sometimes only a logcheck will detect whether it was hacked or not. In other words an admin with his tools may not be able to help you and it may not be to your defence that you talked to an admin about it.

In other words - be really really careful. Buy weapons from Ammunation(best option) or from people who have been here for eons.

And remember if you buy from people who have been here a long time... you may still be buying hacked weapons. Just we were lazy to catch all a long time ago....
