Warning - buying weapons from others

The biggest annoying thing I feel about this myself is that everyone says you're suppossed to know if someone hacks weapons or not just by checking his register date and weapon price. What does it have to do with it at all? There could be a newbie selling 1000 sniper for 1 per bullet, since he got it for free from somebody else. But so there could be a regular saying hacked 1000 sniper for 20 bullet each. You can only ASSUME if somebody hacked the weapons or not, and that's not enough to make the decision. Imagine that admins instead of checking reports, would just assume if the players are hacking by checking if they're new, and then ban them or not ban them.

If it's such a bad thing then disable weapon trading or improve the script somehow, not ban people who can't even check 100% sure something they can get banned for.

No one mentioned perfect as perfection is hard to achieve. Anyone who says they have the 'Perfect' of something are of their rocker.

Again it boils down to a lil bit of common sense. If something doesn't appear to be right even the smallest thing, do not continue whatever it is you are doing. We (The administration) are always here to help you if need be, one call and we will be there.

If in doubt don't get anything out. - Meaning if a deal doesn't seem right don't give them anything and leave the deal.

I'm a player , just like you are, i see issues and i point them out. Having people responsible for complicated anti-hack scripts is definatly something that makes me unhappy

You distort the portrayal of our server. I do not recall our administration deliberately encouraging nor coercing anyone to buy weapons from hackers or hacked sources so they can get banned.

It is fairly obvious that anyone with even half a brain will not go ahead and randomly buy weapons from some suspicious weapon dealer when you can get scam-free and 100% safe weapons in Ammunation.

As much as i disagree with that attitude presented in the post above, i have no choice but to agree with the actual meaning of that post.

Many other servers already have the anti-cheat scripts that work just fine, and Argonath, such a prestige community with so many members, cannot get one?
Do not get mad at the truth, but seems like our scripters are just being lazy therefor theyre putting the responsibility on the players shoulders. Many newbies in the server are selling weapons. How the hell am i supposed to know if he is a hacker or not?

It's 2012, our technology should be advancing forward, but for now, we're going back in time.

Thanks to a combination of scripts and manual work, our anti-cheat system detects things that go unnoticed on other servers, which is exactly why we will catch people.
If you can not understand that someone without a passport selling weapons for 1/10 of the price in ammunation is hacking, you deserve the ban.

There is a group of people that are online throughout the day on the server. I've heard that this group of people call themselves 'The Administration' I believe that this group of people are available to offer help and guidance should people need/ask for it. So if you are unsure of things you would contact them.

What about newer players? There are many of those newbies nowadays that wish to create a gang with as less expenses as possible. They might not be aware that the guns might be hacked or anything like that. So what, they will get banned because they bought a weapon that was hacked? Please..
