ArgoVision Song Contest: May 27 2012

Ok so the players from Europe may know that on May 26 the final of th Eurovision song contest is held.
Every year people complain about it being a show for gay people with music that is below level, and judging is corrupt.
Still everyone watches.

But what they can do in Eurovision, our players must be able to do just as well or better. After all we have some top talents here, right ? Here is your chance to prove it.

Date: Sunday May 27, 20:00 CET
We do not discriminate by Europeans or even countries only. We do require that you enter your own work, be it a cover or full original song. And all entrants will be checked, slipping in a trolling entry will not be honored.  So what are the rules ?

• All entries must contain your original work. Covers are accepted, complete songs of others not.
• Last date to enter is Friday May 25, 2012
• Entries in MP3 format
• Send your entry to DJ Janek
• If you make a clip, upload it and the link will be published while the song is played
• All entries are subject to approval. If found not suitable to broadcast they will be removed.
• After the show, a 1-hour poll will be opened. One vote per entry.
• The poll will give 50% of the points. The other 50% comes from a jurym to be announced.

Okay so I'm not sure that I quite understand what this is about? I'm not familiar with the EuroVision thing...I understand there is music involved... I'm taking it the song has to be about the ArgoVision? Yes? or is it just music made by members of the community?

The song doesn't have to be about the Argonath Vision (though that would be nice). It's simply a showcase for you to demonstrate your vocal abilities to the Community. The song can be your original song, or it can be a cover of any song you choose. Some, for obvious reasons, won't be accepted.

Profanity is fine, as long as it's not over the top. Try to keep racial slurs to a minimum, though.

On a more serious note, please change the poll time from one hour or hold a continuation of the poll a few hours later.

People who aren't up at 20:00 CET won't be able to vote if you don't, such as myself (and pretty much everyone in the Asia-Pacific region); that's 3 AM here.
