Inactive Assets Reset

[stormeus]

As of today, any vehicle or property whose owner has been inactive for about or more than 6 months has been reset, including properties whose inventories were bugged. Properties and vehicles that were not bugged, but simply inactive, have been refunded to their owners in the event that some day, they actually do return and find their assets gone.

The next inactivity sweep will take place on July 20th. Please keep in mind the following:

• Do not request reservations.
  
  Reset assets will not be reserved for anyone, not even myself or the administration. Once the list of reset assets is posted, whoever buys it first gets it, no questions asked. That being said...
  
  
• Do not cry if you do not get the assets you want.
  
  This happened last time and chances are, if there's something incredibly valuable on the reset list, it'll happen again. Anyone who moans about it to the administration, in chat, in this thread, or in this board, will likely face punishment.
  
  
• Do not request individual resets until the 20th.
  
  Even if a property is eligible for a reset before then, the resets will still be done in bulk. Do not flood my inbox with requests about how you want an Ammunation to be reset for you on the 19th.
  
  
• Do not ask for vehicle color or spawn position changes.
  
  These are not being done anymore due to the absurd number of people asking for resets every time they moved properties/bought new cars/had a donut.
  
  
• The reset threshold is three months.
  
  As draconian as this may sound, I, personally, will not reset a property that has been inactive for 89 days. You can PM me a request for a reset if it'll be eligible within two weeks after the mass reset. However, keep in mind the above -- do not expect a reservation.
  
  
• This is a game with pixels on a screen.
  
  In case you forgot about the no moaning rule already, just remember this point if you get mad about "YouMadBro" buying the cool mansion/Infernus/drug factory you were lining up to get.

As of May 18, your sister's hadn't logged in on her account for one year and one month, so the property was flagged as inactive. All of the last login information is available there.

Will this inactivity sweep reset anything of my inventory?

Talk to Klaus about your situation and see what he says. I would feel inclined to say no but I can't make a final decision.

Neal, if the property is still available, the money was refunded. You should be able to buy it back easily. When the properties were reset, the account was inactive back then.

What about certain businesses/properties that have been given a level of court protection (i.e. large corporations, holders who have asked for the chance - I'm guessing within a few days or w/e - to find a new owner or a new management before it being fully removed and open to public)?

In the last reset, assets were reset without regarding the court system and any copyrights or trademarks. It's highly likely that this'll be the case again. In regards to the court, if the previous owner does not buy back whatever assets were associated with their copyrights, then the copyright would probably be revoked automatically on the grounds that it can't be legally enforced.

Think of it as Pay 'n' Spray Vice Point having a trademark, and it gets reset. The previous owner can't enforce a copyright on something they don't own anymore.

If any of your assets were reset on an old account, you can be refunded on your current account, or if you can log into your old account, your refund should be waiting there.

If your assets were reset because you were away due to school, computer problems, etc., sorry, but your assets were reset as well. While we're still on 1.9, assets should circulate among members who show regular activity to help teach new players about roleplay while hopefully reviving some. If you're planning on returning in the near future, your refund will be waiting in your account as well.

The money has been given to you, and... if you can't play, you are inactive. Inactive player's invent got cleaned out, so yours was too.
