I became a moderator in early january, I already knew who you were then but I learnt to know a different Dellstorm as a moderator, a better one. I had a question, you replied. You took the time and told how I could approach players in a better way to gain more respect. You took your time and tought me things to improve, and I really did, a lot.

You are a damn important asset in the whole community, Dellstorm. We can't always achieve our goals, even if we want. I advice you to take a long (summer) break and let the time heal your wounds. You are not required to leave and even if you don't acheive what you want, remember that the spot is still there and the chance to reach it are aswell remaining. Don't give up mate, you're stronger then this.

If you ever choose to come ingame again or interact with Argonath, say hi, please.

David, there are a couple of things I want to tell you, before you are just going to leave me here. First of all, I've been on the internet since my 9th and been playing around on a lot of games and met a lot of friends (the default internet friends). Mostly you just hang around with them and stop caring once you turn off your PC and go sleep / good or whatsoever. Some people I met on the internet gave a different feeling, more of a friendship than just knowing each other from a game, these are the people I know in real life and it includes you.

I don't know you in real life, although I bet you'd be a great guy in real life as well, but we created a relationship which was special. I barely got this friendship with anyone on the internet, but it felt like I knew what you felt and how I could help you to go through the hard parts of being an admin or a personality in the server. Your personality is one to be proud of, I truly wish a lot of people in the world were like you. But yet it never went flawless when you needed to be harsh punishment, sometime you did not feel good about what you've done. But I am sure, whatever you done in this community was right - even if the ban on the moderator was not appreciated by the administration HQ, if you felt it was needed you should not feel bad about it (and as I told you, next time just leave it up to the HQ).

Now one of my best friends in this community is going to leave and won't return any soon (I'm definitely not going to use the word: "ever"). I am grateful, that you want me to receive a piece of your old belongings even though I feel like I do not want to accept it. But if it will be shared, I will accepted it out of my respect to you. But you know as much as I do, that I rather have you on here then a part of your money.

David, I'd like you to talk to me on MSN once more, please. I do not want to change your ideas on this, but just have a little talk about the recent things happening. I wish you so much joy and success in your real life, if you keep doing it with motivation and friendliness you've been doing in this community.. I won't even think of you failing to meet these dreams.

And last but not least, I'd rather not read a farewell topic to see a picture of you. You could've just shared it before without leaving :roll:. And hey! Get a shave you!  :evil:

Can you guys please stop the arguments on here? It's unnecessary and provocative, looking at the fact that some of your guys already posted around 20 leaving topics and are still here. And I cannot say you guys are very good known about having a good input in this community as well, which DellStorm had.

As moderator of this board, I will give people a bit time to thank DellStorm for what he have done. Indeed forum rules count for everyone, but I assume a lot of people want to use this topic to thank DellStorm and that's the majority of the people around here. When the amount of replies decrease, I will lock this topic to keep it clean of arguments and whatsoever.

If anyone in Argonath ever could understand your feelings in this situation, it would be me.

Sometimes, i have problems aswell to see the line between being a server leader and then just be a admin on another server. It can be frustrating, annoying and sometimes saddening that i can't help players fully like i'm used to being able to do on the Minecraft servers. to say it simple, it can be really hard to draw a line between your duties, atleast i'm having big trouble to draw the line between my developer duties and my administrator duties at times. If i would be offered to become a SA:MP manager / SA:MP server leader, i wouldn't even think about saying no. I love to manage and develop, i love to see how my work is appreciated by the players, i love seeing how players is having fun with something i have done.

Not many people here understands what i'm talking about, they can't understand until themself is a developer in a way and realises how much work it comes when being a developer in Argonath.

And you was one of the few that i really was looking up to. Your unique way of administrating, your willingness to help players with any kind of problems, even your unique personality was one of a kind. Not many possess the qualities you have, and with you leaving, it will be a big loss for Argonath as a whole. I dont want to see you leave, you are one of the biggest role models in this community.

Hey DellStorm,

First off, I completely respect your decision for doing this and am not in any way disappointed or angry with you. There are however some other feelings that came to me while reading your message. I am both surprised and disappointed -in others- ( not you ). Dell, having known you since you weren't even a moderator in IV:MP yet, I have always enjoyed our friendship and contact, wheter it was about graphics cars, computer hardware, Argonath, music or other personal stuff, you were always able to talk to me. I've seen you grow through the ranks of administration and could see how determined you were to become a community leader. You told me a long time ago that you wanted to become a community leader. Normally, people that have a rank as goal, don't mean a lot of good. This most certainly doesn't apply to you. You had a very clear reason of why you wanted to become a community leader. Not only that, it was also the best reason you could have for wanting to reach such a rank. You saw it as your duty, goal and leasure activity to help people. That is how any true Argonath administrator should (try) to see it, and it is one of the reasons why I have so much respect for you.

This determination of yours was the biggest determination I have ever seen in my entire personal life, which is why I am so surprised that you no longer have it. You were and are clearly the best man for a job as community leader, in comparison to ANYONE, the owners, the current community leader... anyone. I'm not complaining about the current community leaders, but I do recognize that DellStorm would be a better man for the job, regardless of how good the current community leadership works. You weren't promoted to the rank of community leader, DellStorm, but I'm sure that if you would've sticked to your goal, you would have reached it. I don't know why you weren't promoted; I can't speak for that matter, only Gandalf can. I do however believe the reason has something to do with what you suspect it has something to do with, sadly. The most recent event that we talked about was the ban you gave moderator Tomer. I believed you were in the right, and still believe so. I can't speak for the community leadership, but I will say that I am extremely disappointed in their way of handling this subject, letting it go that far as to force you to make this decision.

You have helped everyone in this community a lot, and have contributed more than anyone has ever, or will ever contribute here. You've helped me a lot, and I hope I have been able to provide the same help to you, when you were new to both SA:MP and the administration team. Like I said before, I have enjoyed every one of our conversations, and I hope you have done so too. I have learned a lot from you, most of which is about morality.

DellStorm, I would like to thank you for everything you've done to help the community and me personally. I respect your decision and understand why you cried while making it; I have had similair experiences in the past myself. The community will miss you and your contribution and efforts a lot. Without you, it won't ever be the same... I myself will miss you too, as an admin, as a leader, but most of all, as a friend. I saw you deleted your MSN or googlemail account, so I won't be able to contact you any other than by posting here or through personal messages. I hope our paths will cross again and I hope the conversation about Tomer's ban won't be the last one we'll be holding. You've spent a lot of time in Argonath and sometimes I got the feeling that you didn't get enough time for your personal real life. I hope you did, though. If not, I hope you will be able to go out there and make the most of life without Argonath.

Once again, Thank you for everything, DellStorm. You've meant a lot to me, and I'd like to think both the choice of music in this topic and the ''High Quality'' in the first video have to do something with our conversations about music and audio

Seems like I can't prevent this from happening since some people already tried to.

Since the first time I joined IV:MP, I worked hard to be a part of the admin team, I focused all of my efforts on that goal.
A long time passed and waiting for a chance.
A year ago, you gave me the chance that I needed so badly to proof myself.

I do understand your feeling right now, as you know what I've been through during my career. I do understand what it does mean when you get nothing for the hard work you have done, and the time you spent trying to proof yourself, I don't blame you for anything buddy.

It's correct that I've just met you through internet .. No-any real contact, but you have and must know that you did change my attitude, even if a bit, but you did a change. You made a difference, I am honestly saying that you are one of the people who should be taken as an example.

I know what you have been lately through, from the IV:MP falling apart, to the right choice you did by banning that moderator. Unfortunately, when you are a part of the A-Team in any server of Argo's, you don't treated equality. Logic says, if you do good, you'll be happy later. But that not honestly what happens in Argo when you are a part of the A-Team. I know how much efforts your have done to IV:MP, I do also know that you worked hard in SA:MP, and been a great person, but unfortunately, they just threw all the efforts you did away and forgot them, but only remembered a step that they think it was wrong, but in fact it was a step taken by a one wise polite man who knew whats right.

You are a man that will for sure stay in my memory, and take a place in it, because such persons are honestly rare to be found.

You will always be missed.

I hope you find a free slot in IV:MP when you come back next time.
