Despite being as nice person and helping new players. I don't feel that regular players should have the obligation to teach new players. People are here to have fun and play a game, not waste their time teaching a new player.

I am not saying people should not help new people, im just saying that admins need to understand that community members are trying to play a game and should not be required to stop what they are doing to deal with a new player.

I agree. My point is that regulars introduce newcommers with gunfire instead of give them the required assistance. They can do that them selves or they use the /report function.

That's kinda a selfish attitude, but what ever. If you don't show them the good example, and don't try to teach them, then you can't come and moan afterwards because they broke rules and interrupt your gameplay. The time you spend at the very first moment they join, the faster they'll understand the rules, purpose of the server, commands etc and it'll be less problem in the future.

I'm not saying its a good attitude to have, but my point is that players should not be punished simply because they didnt do something they really don't need to do. If a player attacks them and they attack back, they should have all the right to kill them in defens, new player or not.

What would happen if moderators were not available?

More would be available if everyone wasn't DMing everyone.  :cop:

the ruels are shown when you join the server and you need to accept them twice before you login, so dont say "new players doesnt know the rules" beacuse in other RP server such things wont happen and never happened, guess why? beacuse its a real rp server where you need to apply to join and everyone rp there and not posting 'omg good shooting skills omg pro' on his police application
to mash -
do you except us to die when we need to teach a new player? you're an admin, you can spectate and tell them the rules, we cant
if a new players dm us with his spas we cant do nothing else then protect our life and kill him, THEN we teach him the rules over pm and tell him to not dm, but its such a bad excuse "new players doesnt know the rules" beacuse you can always /rules and this command exsist on every server in samp + you MUST accept the rules TWICE before registering
this is a fact - the server is starting to become cops n robbers and i do not mean to provoke or moan or w/e just telling my opinion, must of the civilians/suspects sees a blue dot on the map and starts to piss him off to get /su'd and then go in thier nrg or infernus with m4 and spas and guess what they do? kill cops..
i just think there should be applications before registering the server if all of those bans, tempbans warnings and kicks didnt teach to not dm
chris - do you prefer everyone spasing the shit out of each other instead of this? i didnt say we should disable main chat or something beacuse yea argonath without mainchat isnt argonath, but there should be a message to moderators when a new players joins the server, he gets freezed till a moderator gets to him and teach him the rules, atleast the basic command /me and how to communicate with others

sorry if i offended anyone or the server, thats how it looks from my side..
So you want to tell that every player who starts a shootout is a new player and regulars are only protecting themselves ? Go and tell that bullshit on other servers where they may accept it.

New players will always follow the examples they see. If they see regulars driving around and shooting blue dots or 'enemies' then that is what they will do. If they see a good RP, that is how they will play as well. So by having a negative attitude and shooting at everyone that is not in your circle YOU are causing the problem. Want to solve it ? FIX YOURSELF OR GO ELSEWHERE.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

What I call you does not matter in this case. What does matter is if you acknowledge and understand our words or not.

Very true, normally when a player joins they will spawn at LSAP what do they normally see first... idlewood. They see cops and orange dots (which they probs don't know that means suspect) shooting at each other.

Normally, when I start getting attacked by a new player; I take out peperspray and stop them and try to explain it to them. You don't have to drop them dead. and so what if they kill you so what its a game, I'm sure you'll be fine. If you can't handle dying, don't play. The Sims is a great game I'm sure you can handle. Report them as a last option, but its better to just try to help them rather just DM them which even more embeds the idea of DM into them.

If we're completely honest this isnt just DM its a variety of other things too, such as flaming, script abuse etc. And there are two types of players who do this..

New players - Dont know the rules.

Veteran players - Disregard the rules due to minimal punishments. (from what I have seen)

Its getting out of hand, for example a few nights a go I was DMed at least three times, two of these involved flaming as well. These players were regular players and the problem is that only one of the cases was followed up with a warning. I'm not having a rant against administration but I have seen certain players warned several times for the same reasons yet they continue to do it and this is because they know that they will only get warned. So I'm glad to see that the people who are doing these acts are getting punished hopefully they will learn from this.

Since when do you get tempbanned if you kill someone after you accepted a hit on the person?

You should post details of the situation and what exactly happened and you might get some proper answer.

I agree with this 100 percent. I was actually banned for doing this though, guy tried to car kill me multiple times so I shouted to stop and was trying to get him to understand he can't do that, being a good person. He just kept car killing, so I blew up his Bus with a Deagle. i didn't hunt him down or anything, just took out the bus. He got off ran to the bus and killed himself. I was banned for deathmatching(as it was a UC admin who was the culprit), my one and only ban in this server. Things happen though, just need to shrug it off and move on.

What I call you does not matter in this case. What does matter is if you acknowledge and understand our words or not.
Actually what you call him does matter, it's called respect. As a person you should accept and understand this, instead of the "who gives a shit" attitude. Elementary school, treat others as you would like to be treated.

Best for last, So yes some veteran players do deathmatch a newcomer. Most of these 'killings' are when a newcomer ends up trying to constantly carkill someone, with the rare exception of when they whip out a gun. I see plenty of criminals from various different groups killing newcomers, and it's rather pathetic to see. The lack of respect towards helping this community grow is truly sickening to witness, especially when I see some serious veterans from back before I played pulling these stunts.

New players ALWAYS following examples they see? No, they USUALLY do. How many newcomers honestly come into this community wanting to be a criminal right off the bat? Not alot. I see and receive more private messages from them asking 'how I become cop'. They have just as much of an intent to kill people as any other person in this community. "If they see a good RP, that is how they will play aswell.", Yes I 100 percent agree with this, I am in Gvardia, have been for an incredibly long time. I come on SA:MP to roleplay with everyone I come into contact with, some I just chill with, BUT almost every time I am on I am always going to get sucked into some stupid gun fight. Whether this fight is with police, or another criminal group. I very rarely am able to participate in good roleplay anywhere without being shot at by criminals or being /su abused by the new cops who show up and aren't shown how to properly roleplay a police officer in this community of ours and when I say that my suspection isn't true (while I'm being shot at), I am told to /gu and ask for an investigation, which always results in jail. So unless a large amount of this community decides to pull together and revive roleplay between friends, and enemies, cops and criminals, then the newcomers will not see good roleplay and follow that example here.

Overall, I want the DM to stop, and the lack of respect to not be as high. I want to be able to roll up to a Gvardia enemy and roleplay or roleplay with the cops freely without a gun fight occurring. I log in every day to have fun with community members. I want many more things, which are possible with the community pulling together and helping out but the likelihood of this is very small and it sucks. Will I stop coming to Argonath because of this? No, but does all this constant rule breaking cause new players to not stick around, yes. Also for the people who want these rules to be like shown everywhere you look, this community is based on being able to roleplay what you want and not be restricted by a ton of rules. Which is where the Argonath Vision comes into play.

Alexander 'The Unpredictable' Gvardia
Montego 'Muerte' Santiago
Tyrese 'Ice T' Freighton
