Notice about DD Rights.

I'm posting this topic here on behalf of notifying admins & players about DD Rights.

In the last two to three days, I've seen admins giving out DD (Tickets) Rights to the players who are hosting those events.
I have to inform Admins that Those rights cannot be given to every single event hoster because we have an official derby faction which haves its own Derby Staff. We have our own forums: Click here!. Also that rights can be abused for their own benifits and personal DDs and also for their personal fun. Due to this many people are doing events to get those DD rights and alot of them are carrying DD rights currently which are not currently present in official derby staff. I would like admins to have a look on our Staff's list and Remove the rights of the people who are not in that list.

To players: I would like you to do EVENTS for fun and enjoyement not to get some rights or something.

Dis-advantages of handing these rights to everyone:

• There will be no particular reason of having a Faction about DDs then.
• Rights can be abused
• It would be a mess for the Argo Derby Leaders.

From now on, i would like admins to help people with tickets by themselves and Do not hand everyone the rights.

How can DD rights be abused? You are given the power to control a gate and issue either participate / spectate tickets.
Players may use it for fun? Oh, well, that must be bad since we are playing a game that was created for that purpose. To have fun!
Even if I don't hand out rights to players randomly I see your points irrelevant and some sort of advertising.

EDIT: I also think that we (administrators) are unable to issue DD rights to players... Atleast what I know.

I have been given DD rights on 7/2/2012 By MrMe, I accept them to be taken away right now as I don't want any misunderstandings against me, like: Cena is abusing, Cena didn't give me a ticket cuz he hate me, etc.

I belive the thing with thoose rights is currently fine, isnt it ? I havent seen anyone showing off with his rights, even If they get caught abusing 'em, then I belive they deserve a punishment.

This system was originally designed by CBFasi at RS4.0 Before these scripts release, only lvl4+ admins could issue tickets.

Initially, only myself and Gregersen were issued with the rights at the start of RS4.0 and all administrators were enabled to use the system and to issue/revoke rights from a particular person.

I do understand the concerns that everyone will run around with derby rights sooner or later and that is why I proposed an idea in the SA:MP Ideas section to further develop this system. This way it should be possible for the Official Derby leaders (Reece, myself, Gregersen, ..) could manage and organise the people who currently have rights and see which needs to be removed.

However, whenever this should be applied, the system should also allow to give temporary rights to people since I believe the Derby Stadium can also be used for non-Official events aswell.

I agree with Caltson, Rights should only be given to someone for a particular time, In which they can organize an Event.
Just temporary rights.
Other thing as Edison said, there is an Argonath Official Destruction Derby, You can go and apply there.

Should i remind you that NO faction has ANY right to deny any rights to others? You want the dd rights to be limited to your faction..well who gave you the right to decide who gets DD rights and who doesnt...

Also the reason that you said that others shouldnt get it is because they may "have fun" in the stadium..well..you do know there are other events than just derbies held in there dont you..who gives a shit if only you can enter a building or everybody can?

Having the rights enables you to perform more commands than just the ones to give tickets, it is wrong to assume that only one command will be enabled upon recieving the rights. If everyone has them, we can expect a particular command to be spammed quite often with only the logs being able to find out who did it.
To make clear to you, the Derby is actually older than all factions that currently excist and dates back from 2007 as it got hosted by Haldir and Jcstodds. Later on it was taken over by myself due to inactivity for both community members. The ticket system has always excisted and I don't think you should look at it as superiority above others, such as you describe it, but rather as a tool to help processing extreme grand events such as the derby itself, because that is what the ticket system is designed for.

Another downside of everybody having the ticket-derby rights is that everybody would issue a ticket to themselves, making this system completely useless and a very disrespectfull move towards CBFasi, who put alot of time and effort in it to enchance this system for all derby's (also unofficial ones) to be organised with the tickets.

As for the rest, I believe the rights were designed to ease off the tension for the Administration Team.
Back in the days of RS3.0, An high level admin had to be present to issue all tickets. The new system from RS4.0 took that tension away and allowed the organisation to persue the derby themselves.

This is not about the fact that no faction has the rights to do so, however as I see it, I think that the command being restricted to only staff members could lower the chances of abuse. That is my concern.
This is why I proposed an update to the system that also other organisators could recieve derby rights as they could be issued by non-admins with enhanced derby rights aswell.

  Hello. I am the inventor of the Argonath Destruction Derby type events and Founder of the official DD and all events of the official stadiums.

  It is great that admins can give players DD rights. I didn't know this actually, but this is great news since it has allowed more use of the stadium interiors. Ideally, everyone should have DD rights so they can use the interiors whenever - however the only reason we don't - it is impractical cause players may disrupt ongoing events by joining half way through, that's why we have ticket system.

  There is an official DD, and from what I see (or in this case, do not see) is that it is very inactive and probably not deserving any "official" status. 
 
So if you want the "Official DD" to have a monopoly of the Stadium interiors, better get off your lazy arses before we start recommending other event organizers to be "Official DD" leaders. Want to be official, be the best and stop complaining.
