Most of them were ruined when we got our independence, but some still remain mainly in Ioannina (NW Greece) and Thessaloniki.

After re-viewing the topic I recommend you to go to Albania (since no one posted about the negatives except me for Greece  :D) or Bulgaria, I've been in Varna once and it's really beautiful in the summer..
