Privacy and e-bullying

Due to recent developments I would like to remind everyone here of the following:
1. Everyone has a fundamental right of privacy. They can disclose or hide as much of their real identity as they wish.
2. Whatever private information you may gather about any player, is not allowed to disclose to others without their knowledge and consent. This includes things like MSN, Skype or other ID's, pictures or any other information.
3. Using private information to harass or spread (mis)information about other players will result in an immediate community ban. This includes 'jokes' that are found not to be funny.
Please note that we will extend any community ban to all our communities.

Let me directly reply due to recent incidents also involved me. A lot of people agreed with me, where I said I do not want my personal details shared in public. A lot of people were against me during that time aswell, since they say I spread it myself aswell.

Let me point one thing out, there are a couple of people who are behaving nice and being friend witih me. On some moments, when they are for Facebook, Twitter, MSN or something like that, I will decide myself if I give out my real name or not. There are a couple of people who have my name and have me on Facebook; I am not against that, since I even know a couple of people from Argonath in real life, so that would be hypocrite if I moan about the fact people know my name.

The thing, which I am against. Is the part where people share your details for you, your personal details for your own to decide if you wanna spread it or not. There shouldn't be a 3rd party sharing your name for you, not knowing the consequences.

And let's not start about the e-bullying, I am openly bisexual for two / three year now. I started to "admit" it to people on Argonath before I came out IRL (and it helped me so much), but my friends who knew it for these three years never disrespected for it. I find it pretty silly, that some people (who have been here all the time) start to disrespect / make fun of you, after all this time they KNEW it.

I have been bullied all my life, I do barely feel the pain anymore. So if you want to disrespect me.. go ahead, but all the consequences are for yourself. I am not gonna feel sorry, because I forward the logs towards the managers. Because in the end, you were so stupid to decide to talk bad about someone and you should think once more, before throwing out your words.

I would like to point out that the offenders who were involved in the recent incidents are not the only people who were banned for spreading RL (mis)information about other Argonath players, just for those who might try and moan that the administrator is instituting a "new rule".

This "new rule" is merely a clarification of an already existing rule, the rule against harassing other players.

Perhaps you wouldn't get bullied if you don't throw it our there in your own way. You don't know a damn single f**k about being bullied, you take your bisexuality to a humorous level, that is why you feel no pain. I myself do not have ANYTHING against homo- or bisexual people, transvestites, crossdressers and disabled people, because I see no harm or reason not to interact with them.I am a victim of bullying because of my ancestory and my looks, but I sure do get over it and even try to be a psychotherapist for other people, but when I see someone hypocrizing about something would make him feel bad and he jokes about it, it's just a massive piss-off at some point.

Alright, so all of a sudden, your advices, wise words and confrontations determine someone's chances of being unbanned or denied ? Your contribution in certain unban requests are just irrelevant since you have don't have anything to do with them.
