TAUGHT.

Server was better four years ago? How can you know? Four years ago you weren't even able to spell your own name properly.
My English was bad when I joined, but the atmosphere in the server was better. Something that I still know.
People willing to teach each other, money was not the only worry.
And who even talked about 4 years ago? ;)

Lol, topic starter isn't even a good role-player. This is hilarious.

Constructive criticism? Improve yourself first, then talk about the server.

When was the last time you roleplayed with me?
Wait.. There was no last time.

Now you've made a mistake... Post hunting. Look pal' you made a topic to cry about the current state of the Argonath RolePlay:

I showed you the Wiki arcticle that is DIRECTLY connected to that point.

Check how ironic it is, that you start with "Let's start with" and you don't even touch any other point. You are only questioning the job of the moderation and administration teams. You accuse them or being incompetent by not responding to your five reports about 1 occasion.
Hire more admins, nice solution, again falling in moaning tho'.

It is open for it, but guess what? There are no such topics. You try to talk about how you get ignored, but on the other hand you're just creating a topic with one finality: to moan.
You don't think so? All you've done so far is feeding an argument without showing any other way or solutions to the posted "complaints".
What kind of ideas have you presented that got ignored?

Multiple people told you already, go in-game and do field work, instead of sitting your butt here, and type inconclusive stuff, with no point at all.

You're sure you forgot something important? Are you kidding? A 30 line text but still you think you left something important out...
It is moaning, it isn't shitting on the server but on the current players. How can you revive the role-play with this kind of topics? What flaws are being ignored? The fact that people don't role-play the same stuff as the guys from 2009? You've spoken about this to many players, only 1 has actually tried to defend your point so far. The server won't fall apart, read Argonath Vision.

So I ask you now, am I the post hunter? Or am I actually making a point?
The only subject I adressed is the administration?
The topic isn't even about administration, try again.

Well, apart of your Role Play you can always tell them that this is not a DM server, etc etc. Most of the newcomers do that because they're not well integrated in the group of usual players in the server. Tell me, what would you do if you had just registered in Argonath? Do a role-play scenario?
How many times have I for example explained someone that this is a roleplay server..
It didn't help.
It's not that some people don't know the rules, they don't follow them.
Easy logic, /su + kill = $$$.

If someone explain them, they won't misuse the command and weapons.
Not really.

Where do I have to begin?
There are way too many issues to discuss.

The veterans among us may know that the server now is different from when we joined.
Why? Lack of roleplay / no roleplay in the server. It has been said a thousand times, want RP? RP yourself. How are we supposed to roleplay if we are being obstructed by admins who make bad decisions and rulebreakers ruining roleplay?
Let's start with reports. Nobody is looking in most of the reports, they are being ignored, fact.
This is allowing rulebreakers to roam the server. One of the things obstructing roleplay.

Right...

Indeed, lack of roleplay is the subject, not administration.

I would have a proposal:

Better if we have a "Tutorial Exam"..
Multiple-choice questions..

Example:

1.What should we avoid on cop duty: A.Suspect people for no reason B.Abusing our guns on civilians or C.Respecting cop rules
2.If someone kill you for no reason what will you do: A.Kill him/her back B.Report him/her for DMing you or C.Flame him/her.

ect....

Would be better and if the people fail to answer many questions he/she will be kicked and if he/she pass he/she can join the server..
Better choice :D

Look, my point is:

You created a topic, titled Constructive Criticism, so you should stick to it, instead of being here remind the old times, and how the role-play doesn't exist at the moment, from your point of view. What do you think the players should do, to make the server better?

@Red

By that logic, you should make the player sign a contract saying he won't rule break, and he has to follow it... The problem is, answering questions doesn't reflect the attitude in the field.

Stop caring about virtual belongings like money, weapons and drugs.

Good, now we're improving, you actually presented a solution.

One simple.. but still big problem: It's difficult to change the people's view. But a tip: Gather a team, make a group, something like that, and start organizing role play events to show and pass that message exactly. A new player just registered, go to him, show him the wonders of the role play and how it is only limited to their own imagination. Virtual money doesn't bring happiness. That's what you need to pass, but not here on the forums, but on the game directly with those people you're talking about. I do agree with your point, many people think like that, but still, it doesn't affect the dozens of role-play scenarios created by the rest of the players, that is actually much more!

But then we have this problem; People are mostly attracted to prizes.
I have seen different occassions where someone organized a roleplaying event without prizes and maybe 2 / 3 people joined.

Stop caring about virtual belongings like money, weapons and drugs.

Now I don't get it anymore Stefano.. Are you even reading what other player write?? Where does Morais write he cares about virtual belongings.

Stefano, you need to start replying with real comments. Almost every single reply you make is avoiding the real question/point they make. An other example of how you react:
Stop post hunting and find out yourself.

Start reacting like a man and defend your points with real arguments instead of avoiding them because you probably don't have a good argument. Don't got a good argument? Be a man again and admit you were wrong. Think you got a good argument? Explain it, compare it, give a solution too.

Yes, because of his admin status of course. Everyone loves administrators. If a newbie would organize a roleplay through /ad nobody would even appear.

No offense to Jc. It's how the players behave.

Jc also did these things when he was not an administrator, yet lots of people were joining. Why? Because he made something new, interesting, creative and fun. Your point was proven wrong.

Start looking at yourself for once instead of pushing everything upon others.

As last, about what your first post is about. I think this was answered enough by others already.

It doesn't has to be a server wide event... start a project. Little groups, then medium sized ones... and up up you go! Only commitment is needed.
Like you I bet there's people hungry to role-play I bet they'll join you. Look at JCS for example, he started a shop, advertised it a bit, when I got there 7 guys inside, everyone role-play with each other. Of course everyone knows, and will follow JCS because of his event past and because he's member of the administrator team... but still! Start to get along with everyone, not every well known guy is an admin!

Sounds easy. I have tried to advertise many roleplay activities many times with advertisements and more, not even 1 response.

Nowhere? It was aimed towards people caring about it, not Morais.

What do you want to know? I stated pretty much everything.

And many people take the easier step.
Now you can fill in what happens if many people do this.

Well, if you care so much about the community continue to stimulate those kind of situations.

Honestly now, what do you think that will change with this topic? Do you think by appealing in the forums will change something? Words don't define people, actions do... right?
