Searching for an old game

I was wondering if any of you could help me find this old game.


I can't remember it's name, or find any pictures of it. All I remember, is that it's some war strategy game. You start off with a bunch of soldiers, tanks and trucks crossing a wooden bridge, and you gotta destroy a base in the middle of the map. The view is isometric,I believe.


I think it had something to do with controling American army and blowing up Germans, as it's usual in such games.
If it helps anyhow, It's probably made somewhere around 90's or a bit later. There used to be a demo of it available on a GameEXE magazine.

Dunno in which age was made company of heroes but that sounds pretty that way.

Well,It's certainly not command and conquer series, nor company of heroes (unless I don't see some old version of it). I remember you could call out for reinforcements, which would parachute down a shitload of soldiers.


If it helps,some soldiers had flamethrowers, and that mission where you cross the wooden bridge at the start begins in some small forest next to the bridge.






EDIT: Axis and Allies looks the closest,but it's not that one. The one I'm looking for has that generic kind of like trumpet music or something in the main menu.
Plus, it's graphics are too new. Still,gonna try playing it.

Either way you just described copycat or it's definitely company of heroes,you can have fire engineers with flame throwers,parachute down reinforcement,start in forest during campaign and lots of wooden bridges.

You might be referring to blitzkrieg. It's released in 2003 but I think it might be what you're looking for.

There are a few other similar games too but I forgot their names... ( You might also like Men of War but it's not the game you're looking for )
