SA:MP crashes at 80% loading screen before connecting

Hello,

As the title says, my SA:MP crashes at the loading screen. I reinstalled GTA:SA to get rid of a 10x draw distance mod. If I were to remove that mod alone, SA:MP and GTA:SA wouldn't start properly either, so I just decided to go with a clean installation. After fiddling around for a while, I got single player to work with this new installation, but SA:MP crashes at the loading screen. gta_sa.set was deleted, the game was downgraded and I am using SA:MP 0.3e on Windows 7.

So you're running no mods at all? before you re-installed GTA SA did you delete the old folder?
Have you had ENB installed at any point?

I currently have no mods at all. I deleted the previous folder. ENB was installed on my PC before I reinstalled the game.

Look for any traces of ENB laying around and remove them.
So as you said you have deleted gta_sa.set which is a known issue for SAMP crashing upon loading.
Also be sure you are running the correct version of GTA SA, make sure you have the correct gta_sa.exe inside your games location.
Unfortunately currently I can't remember the exact correct version required, although I think it's US 1.0 that is required although I may be wrong.

I downgraded the game to the correct version, with a downgrader provided by the SA:MP website itself. There's no issue in my version of the game, and the original gta_sa.exe is still present. As for the ENB traces; Where should I look for those traces? They can't be in my installation folder, because I deleted the folder completely after deinstallation. I can't find any traces in the GTA:SA User Files either.

It seems you have some strange gremlin stuck in your game, I've never personally had so many hassles with GTA/SA:MP after all the years of playing the game.

Very strange... Reinstalling didn't fix anything either. This is the third reinstallation today.

I had this problem a few weeks ago,the timer goes to 80% then it turns the whole screen white,i forgot how to fix,if i remember i'll be sure to say

I take it you are installing the game to C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas
Try install GTA SA into its own folder in Program Files and see what happens.

C:\Program Files (x86), actually. But that doesn't make any difference.

I am currently reinstalling the game into C:\Program Files (x86) instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games. I tried this before, but it's worth another try because at that time I bugged it with some corrupt files.

I happened with me after I installed one Cleo Mod. After deleting it , my game accessed and worked fine.

You could try replacing your directx dll's (d3dx9_26.dll, d3dx9_40.dll) with the one's located in System32. My game had your problem and I found out it was the DirectX drivers, for some reason the were updated to DirectX 7 instead of DirectX 10 for some weird ass reason.

Tried running SA:MP as an admin?

If it's not that I know theres a place on your PC that saves a copy of GTA San Andreas directory, any mods you do get saved in this folder.. I'll try to find it if you are running SA:MP as an admin, I've had lots of problems like this, and the solution is usually just running as an administrator or deleting the files from this hidden folder I mentioned, another thing you can try is making a new account on your PC and installing/running GTA SA:MP on that account, that was a solution I had when I had Windows XP..
