Server moderators

As server is developed more, Argonath RPG opens a vacancy on moderators.
Mostly we need moderators who can work at CET night as all current administrators are from Europe, server is not protected at night.
- an experience of administration on other servers does not give you an advantage;
- Argonath RPG has a soft policy. It means that administration prefers warn/kick and tempbans on small time. That is why people with <I want to ban all deathmatchers!> will be avoided by administration;
- if you want to be noticed, you can send a PM application to Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf. The last word for counting you as moderators has MS clan.
- the test time for moderators is 30 days;
- intelligent players with good selfcontrol prefered.

Moderators:
- check rulebreakers by players requests;
- checking the work of server and reports about errors;
- discussion the ideas of development;
- answering on players questions.

Why don't you go get user interviews from veteran players of *you know what server* and hear why they prefer to ban every deathmatcher?

Seriously, that won't work.

You need to make them ROLEPLAY, or KEEP THEM OUT. Warning, after that, ban.

I can say it again. We ban players, but do not make it the main task for administration. And do not ban on hours and days. Every deathmatcher has no idea what is RPG. The best way to solve the problem - RPG scripts. And also if everyone will scream with <fuck off dmer> it also will not help to teach them.
Server got constant roleplayers. All of them new people. And they make mistakes. By kick/warn/ban 5-15 min we managed that they started roleplay.
Noone will wait 15-30 minutes in front of monitor and wait when ban finish. They do the same when they banned on hours. They go on another servers.
Warnings are mostly automatic. Plus admin warnings.

I've revised my statement:

You are right on the matter that nobody's going to wait for hours to play again, however, from the past 2 days, I've seen that the admins have been kicking them too many times without actually banning them. Do something about it. 1 warning and they get banned if they break the rules again.

I liked your idea about change the kick on ban after 3 auto warnings. Perhaps we change it.

Apart from warning them there is one good way to stop DMers.
By paying as cop, suspecting them and then showing that RPG players are good fighters as well. =MS=Ron is one of the guys who can chase off DMers and I hope that the other experienced players will join in.

Sometimes it works better than kicking.

What do I have to do to become a Moderator? Other than what you said, i fit that description already

1. You should know ALL rules of server.
2. You should know ALL commands of server.
3. You should spend your time for server to work on it.
4. You should know the main glitches and bugs of MTA do not call everyone cheater.
5. You should be gentle to give the warnings.
6. You should not react negative if you were killed in combat or provoked.
7. No any F@$K OFF! Retard! Bastard! I pwn all you! I am admin I am the god!
8. You should react on users requests.
9. You should explain the rules if needed.
10. You should understand that moderator is not a reward but the work.
11. You should really like server and feel that you belong its Community.
12. You should be in a course of server news.

If you have all this or you agree with this you have a chance.

On this moment we have enough moderators. All of them are passing the 1 month period of testing.
So for this time we do not plan to give moderators rights to others...

But you can send applications, who knows, will we need more, or some of tested guys do not pass...

:rules: I am currently trying to build all moderater, admins and players trust back after my fairly recent mistake, (sorry about that guys it was a greedy and selfish mistake I can assure you nothing will ever happen like that again). I am also trying to get my job as a moderator back as I enjoyed the job and enjoyed helping the Argonath server get better and more efficient at helping the players obide by the rules :rules: .

Hello last night Hakkapelita warned me for selling in his Malibu (I was outside the malibu and offered to sell D4VID a drink that I had found in the malibu) i explaied to Hakkapelita he refuesed to unwarn me. It says i was in the malibu club but i was not i was outside next to the motorbike spawn. so technically i was not in his club. And for a start even if i was selling in his club he should of suspected me not warned me.

, to Another thing Hakkapelita did wrong was kicking people without reasonhs, i should know about this because i have been in this situation before. Someone came into the server and started cloning peoples names hakkapelita gave reasons about %20 of the time the other %80 he did not give reasons. They may know the reasons but admins should allways give reasons no matter what (that is what i was told by many administrators about that situation) I tryed to give him advice yet he refused

Hakkapelita also dosent listen to anyone but himself, dosent seem to care about being an administrator anyway, dosent do a good job of being an admin and generaly dosent care about anyone but himself as he displays below.
