Lmao. Lithuanians can hardly get jobs, so i cant imagine you getting one .

Read it again...

[Lithuania] just joined to [allow Lithuanians to] emmigrate for plumbing work and fruit picking then...[?]

You dont want to come here, believe me, we're full of shit

I liked Lithuania when I visited. Was easy for me: since most of Vilnius is Polish anyway, I didn't have to learn Lithuanian.

But I hope Turkey doesn't get in. Imagine the kebab situation now, but multiplied 1000000 times when the EU floodgates open...

Damn, misunderstood you

In any case. Vilnius is not polish, it only has many polish people in there due to the Polish occupation of Vilnius/Wilno during ww1.

Time to emigrate to Sweden, anyone?  :D

Possibly, I'm just waiting for my notice of copyright infringement from my ISP as I'm sure that is soon to happen out of all of this cause I'm more that certain that all that data seized was less than spread around to respective copyright holders, and the chain succeeds down that... which my internet is already red-flagged for multiple warnings on TPB, so if I get one more my ISP terminates my internet :( Luckly, I only browsed the site using my internet, then switched to another for the actual DL, so I might be ok  :D

This is done, normally, by companies who own copyrighted content sitting on a tracker and viewing "peers", getting IPs and running host-names, then contacting the ISP with the proof of piracy, ISP then checks their system, sees its true... has a heart attack then sends you a lovely email THAT DOESN'T EVEN SAY PLEASE.

On the short of the topic,
Then they should start trying to shut down Google too. Look for any music album or film with "rapidshare" or "blogspot" or whatever at the end on Google and you will get dozens of results pointing to pirated content.

He says that they are "trying" to, meaning it isn't really work due to this. In addition, there is a process to get shit blocked of Google if it hosts piracy, including their service of blogspot, and youtube. Bing, Yahoo, and various other search engines are also compliant with DMCA Takedown Notices, or "Digital Millennium Copyright Act". This meaning, that they would not be affected. Sites like the piratebay when sent a DMCA Takedown as you may see from some examples on their site don't exactly come close to complying with the notice. Instead they rely with some hilarious mocking email that basically tells them to go f*ck themselves.

The difference is that Google stores your data and sends it to the US government.

#damnstraight

How else would politicians know what good porn sites to use? American Google Search Histories.

In all serious, the main difference is as I explained above.

Mocking and unprofessional, yes, but also hilarious. The DMCA, an American law, doesn't apply to Sweden, meanwhile the FBI and the DOJ believe that American law applies to places that... *gasp*... aren't part of America!

While its true DCMA is part of the United States, many of these 'products' are not just protected by American copyrights, but international copyrights. Also, Google headquarters is located in the United States, thus legally has to respond and act on DCMA takedowns, regardless of the location of the server.

While another thing is true but not really related, there are federal agents in over 100 other countries, and are recognized as a law enforcement agent there as well, yet can't actually enforce laws its more for domestic cooperation. They are called Attachés.

This happens more and more often, as at times American and FBI agents have helped in what was considered kidnapping by local law. The disdain they have for other countries is incredible.

Are you kidding me? The EU is considered Italy, Germany, UK and some other countries, no-one really gives a damn about Lithuania. Here, we can pirate stuff as much as we want and no-one will give a damn. You can even go to the market and buy counterfeit games if you want..

Same situation here :D Shops in malls sell counterfeit games.

But they remain protected by Diplomatic Immunity ;) They can't face charges, only removal from the country, aka deported.

Downtown in my city, you cannot walk one block without finding at least one shop that cells pirated games. Now I'd like to see the US DOJ tackle THAT. :rules:
