Too some the maps of Grand Theft Auto seires are the pure imagination of the talented engineers and graphic designers over at Rockstar. However this is only the case up until roughly GTA 3. Here are the comparisons. Updates: Also included now are some cars from the real world.

2. Does this change your perspective of the game? If so, how?
3. Have you ever visited any of these locations? (:ps: SkyHawk you don't count for living in Vegas )
4. More locations may be added when I get some more free time, if you have any to contribute feel free to drop them here.
5. New: Have you ever owned one of these cars in real life? Or know a parent who has?
6. New: What place would you like to see Rockstar recreate next for a GTA game?

Nice thread. I've seen all of those locations (although not Area 51 of course, but we managed to drive as far as we were allowed).
