It just turns into a guessing game then.
I myself can beat the 10x10 grid with 10 mines (easiest level on Windows minesweeper) in less than 30 seconds. It's kind of entertaining when your internet goes down, or something.
It's all my classmates did in our computer class. They pay me to write the codes for the [simple] programs our teacher assigns us to make, then they play minesweeper while I copy the codes to their PCs.
Would have told them to google it, but our school did not have competent internet access. Sad, I know.
