he was very lucky it was a fake gun. I know it is very difficult from a security point of view when members of goverment want to do walk arounds such as this but that was appalling, how was the man able to get so close with what could have been a real gun. The worst part by far though is the reaction of the security how slow!!! They just took a gentle walk towards the guy...Not very good at all

Saw this on the BBC, I think most people were confused than anything... or as someone watching it with me suggested, maybe they were all hoping it was a real gun and that the president did get taken down? :P

The people in the public did more than his security.
Imagine if it was the US president there? Unsure if you would even be able to get up and so close to him, let alone fire a (fake) gun.

Seems like he could have shoot with toy gun and then pulled out real gun and shot again and still would be standing idle waiting for next move...

It was an airsoft gun, and he wasn't trolling he was trying to send a message about the government.

Every former Czech president would take it as a joke to be honest.

He indeed wanted to show how easy it is, however he also wanted to demonstrate some thing I don't clearly remember already. He returned to work after 2 days with just a warning. The boss of president's security has resigned, and a new team is being formed. Klaus himself took it very seriously.

And btw, the TV programme it was originally shown on, Prima TV, is the worst commercial channel ever!
