Facepalming children, flaming in foreign language a country at a national television, economical destimulation, corruption, shitting on the country Just a few charactheristics of Romania's ,,beloved,, president Traian Basescu. People resisted 7-8 years, but things MUST CHANGE they say.
Few months ago, about 1000 people started a fight with over 2000 cops, special forces guys and stuff in the Capital of Romania, Bucharest. Fortunately, only 10 people died, but over 400 injured people. Police won that war at that moment.
Few weeks ago, a refferendum took place, and by corruption, despite the hundreads of votes difference, won again the electorals. People got in streets. At 3AM, there were more people on the streets than any other night, and I can say the number could be even compared to the one that is on the daylight. This time, police joined the demonstrators.
Few days ago, a report from the Pro TV, local news television, posted a message that Basescu wants to ,,CHILL,, the people, by sending some local ,,SWAT,, forces on the streets, ALOT of police, and even some Military staff. Eh, people got in streets and blocked off some routes from the centre. At news, it appeared that some military barracks arrived there to maintain the order, since the police was over numbered.
This means total war. I expect with the whole population a big war itself between the gouverment and the people. We're not away from a second 1989...
