This has happened a few times to me in the past couple of days. After a few attempts though, I'm able to join.

A tip that worjed for me, type your password then enter fast and f4 + /kill, worked for me, otherwise you can relax, play a bit on another server. I tried to log in maybe 4 times, crashed, then I waited 5 min and it worked!
