Help me solve my problem and win up to 200K in SA:MP RPG

Alright so last month my ping was around 80-120 150 at maximum, but latly it never goes below 180,

  • I have not decreased my speed, speedtest.net shows same speed on german servers, though diffrent ping
  • I have not installed anything new, moreover problem is from any PC connecting through my router
  • I have not moved, still living in same area
  • I'm not downloading anything

I'll be more than happy to provide any other information on request[/i][/b][/list]

I don't know, maybe it's a problem of your provider... I had the same problem some months ago, and I did nothing wrong...
You might have some program opened that makes a conflict with the internet connection. Don't know. You should try calling your provider.

Contact your provider.

It can depents on alot of diffrent things,
Like someone is also on your internet and uses it or your provider just removed a 'pole' that sends around internet, due to that it could be possible more people would have to use the same internet what means your ping is higher.
I just think your provider changed something or you got more people on your network

To check it

go to cmd
IP  Config
Your explorer : Type your IP ( 192.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.1 or whatever you have)
login
Check at My connected networks
Kick everyone except you, check your ping.

If it did not change

Check your aplications on your computer

Close all

or, contact your provider and ask them!

also you can download some programs that allow your computer to go into Gaming mode, those programs will disable all unused aplications on your computer.

I hope I could help

Loveyou sergeant Omar my umbrella

Though Brian's post explained a lot. I'd add something from personal experience, maybe try changing provider. My old provider provided me with speeds of 3.2mbps and my ping used to be around 180-230 , my new provider provides me speed of 21mbps but the last I checked my ping was reaching 400.

Anyway I'd say 180-320 is a great ping since people  have trouble shooting you.   :devroll:

Do this for the Argonath IP and post results here.

If anything, it's your provider. If your internet is connected with your house phone and you've made some changes with the house phone, it could be it. If not, it's still something with your provider. When I had my house telephone and internet with the same company, my ping was at 180+. Once removing my house phone, my ping dropped down to 120.

It's all to do with your provider, I have a 1Mb line and Duel has a 1Mb line yet I get 160-200 ping on SA:MP and he gets 300+ ping.

People using the same provider living in diffrent part of town have like 1/4 of my internet speed yet the get half my ping. So definitly it's not my provider.

Line speed isn't the only thing that causes a high ping, it's line disturbance, attenuation and line noise too.
