It takes 42 years for light to get from there to Earth, so uh, very far....
Too far for humans to reach in a lifetime with the current technology.

The picture shows green spots, so am I right to assume theres plants/forests there? :trust:

Very interesting article.

Do you guys think they will find life elsewhere during "our" generation?

Possibly, maybe bacteria, I wouldn't bet on it that we would find other intelligent life

we would need to develop completly new technology, that wont happend just now due to how the current situation is atm... if just sciencetist wasn't limited by alot of shit we would prolly be in space already but sadly we ain't :P

Yeah, and even then I suppose worldwide it would be considered a breakthrough.

The sheer vastness of the universe (as we know it) poses the greatest challenge, I think.

Who can tell what the "next big thing" will be. Half the time it's easy for us to think that we've invented everything and there's nothing more physically possible, but we probably just don't know it. xD

42 light years is 397350690000000 kilometers.
Easier to read: 3 973 506 900 000 00 kilometers

A time machine will be needed in billions of years for the human race to survive when the universe implodes on itself. :poke:
