How to use a flying stick controller with GTA:SA and GTA SA:MP?

Well, Ive got a flying stick controller for some time now, and I used it mainly for Combat Flight Simlulator.
Now, I'd like to use it for GTA SA and SA:MP as well, but it doesnt work.
When opening the Controls Menu, it say either "Mouse and Keyboard" or "Joypad", and neitherwhat I select, I can't use any button, nor the stick itself.
Is there any mod, or option, that makes GTA SA compatible with my Flying stick controller?

Are you missing a driver package for the stick? I am sure it is the joypad setting, however using a flying stick it's really a pain to play, especially in SA:MP. But hey, that's just my opinion.

If other games detect it, then SA:MP must too.

Well, since the joypad option is actually there when pluggin in the flying stick, it does detect it.
But no button works, and nothing changes when turning the stick itself.
My drivers should actually work.
