In this time where the conflict has raised again, I would like to see if within our members we can create a bridge for understanding.

So here is a topic where both Palestine and Israeli supporters can discuss their opinions. However note that there are VERY strict rules.

1. You can state your opinions, but flaming is strictly forbidden. Any flame will be removed with the full post, so even a small flame will remove your point entirely
2.  While the conflict has a base in religion, any promotion of religion or reverting to religious texts other than to explain the background is strictly forbidden.
3. Who was where first is not important. Who will be where in the future is.
4. Do not spread any false propaganda. Speak the truth and only your own experience. We can all find real and fake videos on the internet.
5. Try to understand the others. If you have no wish to make peace and understand why others have their opinion, stay out of the topic.

The history is much longer. I will try to put it, though be sure that probably both Israel and Palestines will disagree.

The area where Israel is has been inhabited for thousands of years, in fact it is near the cradle of our civilization. For a very long time (let say until around 1948) it were mostly nomadic tribes who dwelled there.
Some were of Jewish religion, others were pagan and after Islam entered many tribes were converted to that religion.

The Jewish have always been a relatively small and closed group. While they excel in trade and science, they are in some ways closed to outsiders which makes them often a target for jealousy. In Jewish tradition the area of Israel (Judea) was their birth ground, which they were promised to inhabit by their religion.

The problem with that is that the Islam holds a verse that if the Jewish are given their land, it will only be near the end of times. As such you can imagine that different doctrines cause a conflict of interest.

When the Ottoman Empire that held the area a long time collapsed, the area of Trans-Jordania came under English rule. After WW2 a plan was formed to split up the area between the different national groups living there.
Syria was formed, the borders of Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt were set.
The Trans-Jordanian are was split in three parts. One was to inhabit the Jewish population (around 10% of the total area divided) a part was given to Jordan and a part was given to Egypt, both parts with autonomy for the desert tribes who lived there.

The country of Israel is inhabited by Jewish, Muslim and Christians who have equal rights. There are Muslim and Christian representatieves in the Knesset (parliament), and in general they manage to live in peace.


Due to religious fanatism, not all of the Arab nations agreed yet the plan was accepted. The state of Israel was formed, and the Jewish started to build and irrigate the desert land. To the surprise of their neighbours they managed to make the desert ground fertile, exporting fruits and building modern cities like Tel Aviv. As it happens, people got jealous.

In 1967 there were a number of wars, where Israel took the Gaza and Sinai areas from Egypt and the West Bank from Jordan. The people living there were unhappy to live under Israeli rule, as the idea of the was was remove Israel.
A number of organizations were formed to remove Israel from the territories they gained. In order to unite the citizens against Israel, Yasser Arafat used the old Roman name of Palestine and started calling the tribes 'Palestinians'.

After many terrorist actions and negotiations, Israel agreed to withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank and give them autonomy. This means that the people there have the right to form their own government and police, and live their own life. However for some religious fanatics this is not enough. They will not be happy until Israel is destroyed, which is for them reason to continue the terrorist actions.

A country which is attacked by their own areas needs to defend. As a result, Israel closed off the area by a wall, and controls what is sent to there. While this is obviously not 100% successful (else no rockets could be shot) it certainly helps.

The people living in Gaza and the West Bank woud like to obtain full independence instead of autonomy. This they would do under the name of Palestina. The problem is that they wish to obtain this by force, and if possible by removing Israel completely from the map.
In general this are fanatics and bad power-hungry governments.
As thousands of years have proven, the people can live peacefully together as long as they overcome the bullshit.

Exactly,i wonder if they having a meeting i'd be sure they both countries will be on peace and no more wars though,there is muslims also in israel right yeah,and yet why would this war never ended,i think israel already had his revenge on palestines of palestines attacks on israel,there is no point for keep going to war at this time.

It is useless for israel making another war,it'll just making palestines innocent having pain,in order to get this war ended,i'm willing israel and palestine having a peace meeting,thank you for your help.

2009/2010? It's 1920 actually..

Actually, Everything started in 1798-1801 where Napoleon Bonaparte decided to engage at Egypt in order to increase the French Colonies around the old world(Europe, Asia, Africa).After the Abukir War with Britain, Napoleon lost their connections to France, and their supplies, which also led to England taking control of Mediterranean Sea, In early 1799, Bonaparte decided to start a new adventure towards Aka(a town in Palestine.), In his way, he took control of Gaza' and Yafa', After arriving at Aka', Bonaparte surrounded the place for 2 months, but he failed due to England aiding Aka' and many other reasons, Bonaparte secretly went back to France, this fight made the Europe Countries think of How Important  is the location of Egypt, Palestine and the whole Arabian Culture which resulted in The Europe Attacks on the Arab Countries.

The West Bank is governed by the President Abbas, where as Gaza is governed by the terrorist Hamas.
