They were living there. You should read up on the post in the beginning explaining that the whole of the area was divided between the people that lived there. In the area were 10% Jews, they got 10% of the land.
Of course the greedy Arabs have  problem with that, as well as that their book of fairy tales tells such action would bring the end of the world.

Not at all. However it is nothing different from the Bible or the Torah, as the mythology used is exactly the same. And as the tribes were already agressive and full of conflicts 3000 years ago, Islam changed nothing in their nature just created more things to fight over.
The thing is one would expect people to enter civilization and stop behaving like Medieval peasants.

If you post provocative material and it still remains, that is no excuse to continue. It personally makes me sick to see some of you here take the kindness and leniency Gandalf has shown so far, and abuse it for your own ends.

This argument get nowhere, both sides think the other side shouldn't be there, the fighting will continue until outside countrys get involved, and we all know who will help Israel... America, why? Thats because Israel can help America when America eventually attacks Iran causing WW3 because Russia and China will instantly attack America, then America will call on NATO and Israel to help and then Gaza can be happy when Iran is attacking Israel, I'm being serious too, this petty war will continue with either bombs or verbally when they are both done with bombs, the only way it will stop is if the UN gets involved by threatening either side if they launch any more missiles, it would be the best thing for both sides if the UN did get involved and attack either side if either of them attack each other, atleast then this pathetic arguing which is specificly based on religion and not anything political can finally end and BBC News can find something else to write a story on. :poke:

Certain religious conflicts have been going on for centuries, yet I (and most certainly a portion of users that frequent this board) are able to talk about it objectively, with ease.

Observe how Gandalf has been mostly level-headed despite the crass nature of some posts (mostly removed) in this topic. It is not "almost impossible" if you decide to talk about the topic without the intention of antagonizing someone you are replying to.
