but i do not have a Steam account, so, if i buy CS from Gamestop or w/e
does Steam come with the game?

when u buy from a store, CS: source comes with a serial number.. you download steam separetly, then when u download, u make a *free* account and you put the serial number in the thingy.

 yes.. you first download steam for free and create a new free account and this time remember all the stuffs.. buy CSS and then find where it says register game with steam and put in the code thats it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the details... just go to www.steampowered.com and set up an account. Then go to GAME or somewhere (the game has to be BRAND NEW), and buy it. (It's £20 in GAME). Then log into your Steam account and put in the serial number which came with the disk.

In the Shops, You'll buy it for.. Say 100 Bucks, and you'll scratch the discs or lose them Ect..
With steam, You'll buy it for 40-50 bucks, Never lose the CD. Much Safer, and you are getting what you pay for.

thats not true, those players also change to de_dust2, it's a different map. anyway, all other maps lag to some so Dust rulez!
