You can say anything in moderation is fine, but most wouldn't know where to draw the line and it's largely based on personal opinion.

Alcohol is counted as a drug, as are cigarettes. I think that if the two were invented in the present day they would likely be classified as illegal or only allowed in a mild, very non-potent form.

But take that one to the people who have experienced alcohol as nothing more than a substance to make them feel a tad more comfortable, and thus allowing them to be a little more sociable - people like me, for example. Sure, people abuse it and it has negative effects on both them and the people around them; that's not alcohol's fault, it's theirs.

Yes, I find I'm more relaxed if I've had a couple of drinks, especially at parties. If you've got a problem with that or look down on it for some reason, then that's completely fine.

I can't speak for everyone, and clearly - as I mentioned - there are people who get smashed day in day out for lack of a better thing to do, but I drink in moderation when I feel like it. I know my limits and if I happen to cross it one night and wake up with a hangover the next day, then so be it. It's a part of the experience of growing up and having fun.
