1. Sadly this mod is dead. It was announced that the developers of this mod stopped with the progress.
2. If it would ever be released it would need a better timecycle. It looks kind of empty. :P

To be honest, the GTA III era made it's success from it's features not it's engine sound, the GTA V & IV eras made their success because of what the GTA III - GTA Vice City - GTA San Andreas did.

I prefer the original. You don't want updated versions of everything... showing it how it was demonstrates how much GTA has changed. That's why I still have fun playing GTA1 every day.

I remember as a kid I tried to play Gta III but my computer had a poor graphics card so I had like 15fps, umplayable but I still completed! Haha 

And when playing Gta Vice City I had no lag at the beach only, less NPC's and AL's driving.

This is a different game essentially because they compiled it on to another game engine. Multiplayer would not work with this.
