Hello, I tried to launch SA-MP and connect to Argonath today, once I tried to connect it launched single player instead, I have tried to re-install it, I have tried to change the directory of GTA, I have tried making a new user account on my PC and run it from there, I have tried to downgrade it, I have tried to debug it but it is still the same, what am I doing wrong and does anyone know how to fix this? And yes I have tried to run it as admin as well..

You need another GTA_sa.exe just search for 'GTa_sa.exe working with SA:MP'

Admin, Compatibility mode (hope I spelt that one right), reinstallation to make sure SA:MP and GTA:SA are both on the very same folder from the beginning, removal of modifications. All tried ?

Just type in "STATEOFEMERGENCY" and "FOOOXFT". Will give everyone a gun and create riot mode, close enough aye?

On a serious note.

Make sure you do not have GTA SA already running (check task manager). Keep in mind, you may not have it running intentionally, but it might have not entirely closed down last time. Just double check that.

Make sure you are using the proper version of GTA SA, v1.0 and non-steam.

Should this continue to be an issue, check out a file in your GTA installation called 'samp_debug.exe' click, launch debug. Does this work properly?

Go to your GTASA User Files directory, delete gta_sa.set from there (back it up somewhere else if you need it) and try to connect again.

Sounds like SAMP isn't installed in the correct folder.

Re-install SAMP in the correct folder (there you have installed GTA SA).

Tried several exe files, none worked

Tried them all, it did not work

Tried it aswell, did not work. I also ran the samp debug, once I tried to launch it, it gave me a message that said "Initialization failed, please reinstall" and then it aborted.

Go to your GTASA User Files directory, delete gta_sa.set from there (back it up somewhere else if you need it) and try to connect again.

Re-install SAMP in the correct folder (there you have installed GTA SA).

Checked everything, everything is in its normal position

To make it clear I have not touched a single file since I played last time (long time ago) and it just stopped working for no reason at all. I dont know if it may help in solving this but my PC is running Windows 7 64-bit version

It sounds like firewall is blocking it, check your firewall settings (perhaps antivirus too if you are using a custom one) and make sure SA-MP and gta_sa are allowed on the exception list.

Tried that, tried adding it and removing it several times but no changes.

Only thing which is left to do is to format my PC, but I wont do that for this game.

Rename GTA SA folder to example GTA San Andreas1 and browse the folder when you run SAMP again.

Attempted to do that, still get the same result, it changes the theme of windows 7 to basic, loads for 20 seconds and starts single player.

Before it just took like 1-5 seconds to start it, without it having to change the theme of windows 7.

Try run single player once, save the game then try open SAMP again and see what happens.
