Why I like saving private ryans ass? Couse its a ww2 movie, i like everything bout ww2,(historically), and i think it shows ww2 the right way(except the fact they sent whole team Just for one guy...)

And for those who dont think one guy could do that,(movie magic) quick history lesson: Vasiliy Grigorievich Zaytsev (the main char) was a real person, he was sniper in ww2 with 242 [inc. 11 snipers]  confirmed kills, and his sniper riffle stands today in Stalingrad musseum.

Only kind of ww2 movies I hate are yugoslovenian ones(from my country) couse they always made thing "larger"... (one guys with a machine gun, goes in and kills 4 tanks and shit loads of germans....(while singing liberational songs))... Biggest actor of those films: Velimir 'Bata' Zivojinovic

When I saw the first time american movie about WW2, I said - "no any american shit fairy tales like that please"... No offense, guys, just american movie production really likes some "hero", who killed all Nazi, and that WW2 russians won cos of americans...)))

I can tell a lil about my position here... America and England were asked by Russia to help in WW2 for a long time... And agreed this two "powerful" countries only when was clear already - Russia will win... They met Russians on Elba... How you think what did russians there, if some time ago germans were near Moscow?
Then all this stories about cool americans, thanks to whom russians won... Pffft... I even saw it on forums with 30-50 years old people, americans think it is them who won the WW2, thou their help was not in need that time already...

The mistake of Hitler - he went against Russia... That is the main mistake... As russians say: We have no army, we have nobody to fight against... Wanna fight us? Welcome! Just lets wait for the first winter"... Of cos it is a joke, but this joke has a true line also...
The history also shows - you can get in Moscow (Napoleon), but the war you will lose...
Mongols tried, French tried, Germans tried, Japanese tried... Russia is the one country, who was under such big attacks... But others do not learn from this lessons... That will be the mistake of the next guy, who will try... Probably, the last mistake for all world...

 If it wasn't for Americans in the war I think

1. Europe would have stood no chance, like france and other countries would have still been under German rule if US didn't help.
2. We had to enter the war after Japan attacked us, and we we decided to attack both fronts. Japanese and Nazi, very hard to do... could Russians attack both Japan and Germans? American single handily beat the Japanese and helped a lot in the front to stop Hitler you cant argue past that.
