The 14K is a Triad group based in Hong Kong but active internationally. It is the second largest Triad group in the world with around 20,000 members split into thirty subgroups. They are the main rival of the Sun Yee On, which is the largest Triad The 14K are responsible for large-scale drug trafficking around the world, most of it heroin and opium from China or Southeast Asia. This is their primary business in terms of generating income, but they are also involved in illegal gambling, money laundering, arms trafficking, prostitution, people smuggling, extortion, counterfeiting and, to a lesser extent, home invasion robberies. The 14K was formed by Kuomintang Lieutenant-General Kot Siu-wong in Guangzhou, China in 1945 as an anti-Communist action group. However, they relocated to Hong Kong in 1949 when the Kuomintang fled from the Communists following the Chinese Civil War. Originally there were fourteen members who were part of the Kuomintang, hence the name 14K. However, some say that 14 stands for the road number of a former headquarters and K stands for Kowloon. Compared with other triad societies, the 14K is one of the largest and most violent Hong Kong based triad societies, and its members appear to be more loosely connected. 14K factional violence is actually out of control because no dragonhead is able to govern all factions of 14K worldwide. While Hong Kong's 14K triad gang dominates its traditional areas of operation and has expanded far beyond the former British colony, its focus remains Sino-centric. Hong Kong triads, including the 14K, have also expanded their activities in mainland China; a key motivation for members to cross into China is to avoid police security and anti-gang crackdowns in Hong Kong. During the 1990s, it was the "largest Triad in the world". In 1997, there were a number of gang-related attacks that left 14 people dead. Under Wan Kuok-koi, the 14K was being challenged by the smaller Shui Fong Triad. The next year, a gunman believed to be connected to the local 14K killed a Portuguese national and wounded another at a sidewalk café in Macau. In 1999, a Portuguese court convicted 45-year-old mob boss Broken Tooth Koi on various criminal charges and sentenced him to 15 years imprisonment. His 14K gang was suspected of drive-by shootings, car bombings and attempted assassinations. Seven of his associates received lesser sentences. Since the crackdown in Macau, the 14K triad resurfaced in North American cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago in the United States and Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto in Canada, Sydney Australia, also UK London. In response to the massive publicity generated by Broken Tooth Koi, the 14K dramatically lowered its public profile. Meanwhile, loan sharking and money laundering continue to be the primary sources of revenue for the 14K in North America. Triads currently engage in a variety of crimes from extortion and money laundering to trafficking and prostitution. They also are involved in smuggling and counterfeiting goods such as music, video, and software as well as more tangible goods such as clothes, watches, and money. Triads have been engaging in counterfeiting since the 1880s. Between the 1960s and 1970s, triads were involved in counterfeiting Chinese currency, often of the Hong Kong 50-cent piece. In the same decade, the gangs were also involved in copying books, usually expensive ones, and selling them in the black market. With the advent of new technology and the improvement of the average person's standard of living, triads have progressed to producing counterfeit goods such as watches, film VCDs / DVDs and designer apparel such as clothing and handbags. Since the 1970s, triad turf control was weakened and some triads shifted their revenue streams to underground as well as legitimate businesses. Founded 01/01/2013

The Beginning It was 1995 when Zhang Li and Sumting Wong arrived at San Fierro Airport in San Andreas after their 10 hour flight from China, all they had with them was their passports, drivers licenses, 2 small suit cases and a small amount of illegal smuggled heroin, they flagged down a taxi and headed for China Town not knowing what to expect, when they arrived it was clear the place was already alive with criminal activity, they could see that China Town was small but packed with Chinese migrants, most of which appeared to be wielding AK-47's or bats, it was clear to them that there was already a powerful triad in the area, but they did not know who, after exiting their taxi in their oddly 'stood out' suits they were approached by a small group of 4 men, all holding a gun, one man in the small group of 4 spoke out; 'What do you need?,' at that moment it was clear they knew who goes in and out of China Town and who was new there or not welcomed, Zhang replied to the man 'We have just moved here from China and we seek a motel to stay at', the Chinese men laughed stating that nobody new stays in China Town without Woozies permission, Zhang and Sumting did not know who Woozie was, but they were told he was the one who controls the US of Argonth's only China Town, Sumting replied 'Can we speak with Mr Woozie?' whilst glaring at the group, after  a brief discussion the men took them to a small house round the corner from China Towns main entrance, the house had a betting shop down stairs but upstairs was a small Chinese temple of sorts, after arriving upstairs they were told by one of the group that Woozie is blind, but not stupid. Sumting and Zhang were then taken into a room where they met Mr Woozie, Sumting and Zhang didn't speak, but Woozie said 'So you are new in China Town?' Zhang replied telling him they were new to the US of Argonath as a whole, Woozie told them both that himself and the 'Mountain Cloud Boys' control China Town and that they should not try to interfere with his large criminal operations or they would be taken from China Town and shot, they wondered if Woozie knew that they were part of China's largest and most feared criminal organization, the 14K Triads. Taking Over After the brief discussion with Woozie, Zhang and Sumting left his house of operations and headed for China Towns only motel, China Town was a very small place and everybody knew everybody, this made Zhang and Sumting stand out, they knew they needed to gain some control over China Town if they were going to succeed with their 14k operation that they were originally in San Andreas for, 14k had large criminal sub groups all over the world but not one in the US of Argonath, after hanging round China Town for a few weeks Zhang and Sumting got more known and trusted, it was then that they started buying drugs and selling them on for more in neighboring Los Santos to avoid detection by Woozie, they knew they had to get rid if him, but it was not the time, they also couldn't just go and kill a blind man as that would be looked down upon by other criminal organizations, they decided to kill Woozie but make it appear to be an accident, after all getting rid of him was the only way they and 14k could gain control of China Town, after a few weeks of planning and some work with the corrupt cops from the SAPD, they managed to get hold of some explosives, Woozie had an Admiral parked outside his house which he used for transport, though he was never the driver he was always in the car whenever it was started, one night when it was quiet in China Town, they rigged his front wheel with the explosives, the next day he was off to do some business in Las Venturas, his personal driver and himself got into the car, Sumting and Zhang waited for them to leave China Town by just a few blocks before they set the bomb off via their mobile phone, Woozie was killed, but his driver who is also his right hand man survived before fleeing off to China with a few members of the Mountain Cloud Boys, China Town was left triadless, leaving 14k to consider their long future there, though there are rival triads, 14k lead by Zhang and Sumting aims to be the strongest triad China Town and Argonath has ever had.

山主 Dragon Heads The leaders who make all and any major decisions, all members of the triad must follow orders given by the leaders. 副山主 Deputy Dragon Head Leads the triad in the leaders absence and help make any major decisions and is also controls recruitment. 先鋒 Vanguard The adviser and administrator of the triad with powers of recruitment and also controls the triads finances. 香主 Incense Master Mainly responsible of recruitment, he trains new members and explains any required knowledge for members. 紅棍 Red Pole Primary soldier of the triads, this person is trusted in assassinations and combat and should be highly skilled. 白紙扇 White Paper Fan Responsible for communications with other groups to create alliances and more importantly  to gain intelligence. 草鞋 Straw Sandal Responsible for giving 49ers and Blue Lanterns combat training and organizes security for higher ranked triads. 四九仔 49ers Drug runners and fighters and are responsible for producing the triads drugs or selling them to other groups. 藍燈籠 Blue Lanterns Trial members and are given the position of security guards or are used as basic workers for the triad. 山主 Dragon Heads Sumting Wong  -  Zhang Li 副山主 Deputy DH Name                                                               先鋒 Vanguard Name 香主 Incense Master Name 紅棍 Red Pole Name 白紙扇 White Paper Fan Name                                                                 草鞋 Straw Sandal Name 四九仔 49ers Name                     藍燈籠 Blue Lanterns Name

People who apply to join The 14k Triads will go through a role played trial phase in-game before being officialy accepted as a 'Blue Lantern', applicants are expected to have read all of our rules and should be clear on them before posting an application, this group is tagless at this moment in time but may possibly use the [14k] tag in the future but it's not confirmed, so no tags are needed and all groups are welcomed to join us as long as said group also agree's so you should check with your tagged group first, if your application is filled incorrectly it will be denied until it is fixed, we want to get to know you and your roleplay before you are accepted therefore you should be active in-game and roleplay with us as much as you can.

1. Always follow the main server rules, group punishments will be given as your admin punishments grow. 2. Never disrespect others especially server administration, a positive attitude should be presented as a member. 3. Always try to avoid using weapons, this is a strict roleplay group and killing is never the main goal during roleplay. 4. The lower your rank in 14k, the more expectations we have for you if you want to remain a member of the group. 8. Members are expected to always listen to higher ranks, failure to do so will result in serious group punishments. 9. Bunny hopping and 'deathmatch tactics' are not allowed, combats are allowed but use them in a roleplay manor. 10. Our main area is China Town, you should never tell anyone to leave that area without the leaders permission. 11. You should never attack anyone during group related roleplay WITHOUT the leaders permission. 12. Members of 14k are expected to act as role models for others to follow and/or copy to create more roleplay. Over all, members of The 14k Triads are expected to set a positive roleplay example to others, resorting to the useage of guns during roleplay is expected to be minimized if not ended, got a personal problem with someone? Grab a bat and some members and beat them up in an alley way leaving them for dead, this is the type of roleplay we are looking for, not just combats from arses deathmatchers, members should always avoid getting punished, have fun but do not go to far as it makes yourself and the group look bad. Members will also be expected to get new players involved in the group in order to teach them the kind of roleplay we do and what they can do outside of the group which is why we will create roleplay that gets them involved and actually teaches them something.
