Problems with Minecraft

Hi,

Minecraft 1.4.6 doesn't run very well.. I use a different textures pack (but I tried with default as well). Looks like the graphics card stops caring about Minecraft after 10 minutes or so.. If I check the gadget I have on my desktop it clearly shows 0% GPU being used.

I tried fixing the problem forcing Minecraft to use 64bit Java but I fail at it :S

Check if the server is under DDOS attack, it does affect Minecraft as well.

Forgot to add that the problem occurs in SP (not tried in MP yet).

Download 'Magic Minecraft Launcher' then Optifine 1.4.6, this should fix your problem, Argonath MC is online also.
Optifine allows you to adjust more MC settings making it better to run on your PC, without Optifine I get 30fps, with it I've gotten 430fps, but I turned Draw Distance up and now I get 126 which is still awesome.

1. Magic MC Launcher: http://www.9minecraft.net/magic-launcher-tool/ and put it on your desktop.
2. Optifine 1.4.6: http://www.minecraftmine.org/optifine-mod/ and put it in My Documents (LEAVE IT ZIPPED!).
3. Run Magic MC Launcher and click 'Setup' then 'Add'
4. Go to where you put Optifine 1.4.6 and selection it.
5. Log in and play.

In any case I've never had problems running Minecraft. Even with everything maxed out and a x512 textures pack I used to run it at more than 100 fps..

So you used to run it fine and you've only just started having problems? :o

Yes, I didn't use it for a while..

Anyway I got even more problems lol! Doesn't matter.. will try with another version..

It was a Java problem. Thanks to a file I managed to force the game to use the 64 bit version of Java and it now works perfectly.
