I bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, and it's a very good phone and also considering it was quite cheaper and was equal to iPhone 4, with better camera and better sound :p

I got a 8mp camera and can film in 720 at 30 fps :D

Seems as if you only picked the Sony phones because you love Sony or either hate apple. Total bias top 5 picks.
Nope, I picked moto too, I picked them on their looks, difference in design, I don't hate Apple, I do dislike Nokias tho. HTC makes some amazing phones as well, but both Samsung and HTC use the same designs which gets boring, unfortunately, Sony did the same for 2012 Xperia line up, that's why I didn't pick any of those phones.

If the Sony Xperia Z didn't have the Sony logo I'd think it's a cheap chinese smartphone. I haven't seen it in real life though, only pictures.
Seems as if you haven't checked any Xperia videos, Xperia phones are made to last long with premium materials, a lot of Aluminimum has been used in mine. I doubt not only chinese, but if any other manufacturers use the top notch materials.

Thanks a lot mate, I think Im gonna pass on it.
There is Chinese ZTE Blade III, for some ridiculously small amount of money, like 10 euros a month, but I don't know if I should take it, I had one of them ZTE things before and it didn't show well.I don't know if I should go for it.
I really wouldn't recommend going for a chinese phone, get HTC or Samsung if not Sony. You'll avoid the headache by not choosing a chinese one. :devroll:

I never knew that  :conf:

Btw Samsung and Sony are Taiwanese/Japanese too, not a much difference. But these three are far more established brands compared to ZTE , Huawei, etc etc.

Show me one smartphone that doesn't look or feel cheap, though. There just aren't any real 'quality' phones, not even for multiple grands, where there are real quality TVs and amplifiers, for example.

By quality I mean its longevity and the components used (such as the integrated circuits). Those ICs are going to drop dead, millions at once, in about 10 years, if not sooner. It's all built to last until they've made something new, and there is no real longtime compatibility, because the 'smartphone' isn't built smart enough to upgrade like that. The reason is so obvious, they just want you to buy a new one every few years. They're not going to built any high-end stuff that you can use so that you won't have to buy anything from them in the decade to come... To think I still have amplifiers lying around from 1973 that work perfectly...

As long as I can call people on it, and won't lose reception everywhere ( ), I'm fine with just about any cellphone that fits in my pocket.

*cough* If you think that, you really need to try out an Xperia phone, I believe Sony is the only manufacturer to use premium materials to build their every gadget.

I don't have any 'xperience' with that phone, but I do have experiences with Sony videorecorders, amplifiers, tapedecks (R2R), cassettedecks, cd-players, speakers, and tuners. One of the most uninnovating brands out there on all of these areas. They do have a lot of nice stuff, though, very well designed too, back in the 70s. But after the 80s and 90s the company lost its charm. Sony tends to pick up on a lot of 'hot stuff' and enter the game by just producing something that's already there but slightly different. Examples are the compact disc, game consoles, and apparently also smartphones recently (post-2000 :P ). This really just reminds me of Samsung with a bit more of this and that. Oh and, waterproof? Didn't Nokia already do that in the late 90s?

I believe Sony is the only manufacturer to use premium materials to build their every gadget.

Sorry, but then you obviously have no real experience with the brand. :D

Their CD and DVD/BluRay players are known for cheap and plastic mechanisms. The lasers in the mechanisms also fail a lot. I've had to clean loads of them through the years. Sometimes they're even unrepairable; laserrot. I'm not awfully experienced on the subject of smartphones, so I can't really say that Sony is also shitty in smartphones, but I'd really love to find out that there are actually wellmade smartphones, that last for longer than ten years, and were actually built with more than a bit of factory work in Taiwan/China, using the very cheapest of electronic components out there.
