I just need to clarify something up.

Throughout the time I have been playing on Argonath there are many cops that abuse myself and many other citizens. While Murt was still an admin he once witnessed that I was abused by a cop at Pershing Square (I got suspected for a invalid reason). At this time Murt had unsuspected me and told me to /report next time. A few minutes later Murt witnessed me being abused by a cop again. He once again unsuspected me and reminded me to /report next time. After that time I always reported when a cop abused me. However, when admins are able to handle my report, they always tell me to /gu and investigate it at the police department. That's what admins always say when you get abused by cops. Well I'm a little confused now. Should I /report or /gu and investigate?

Also, most of the time I am actually abused by a cop I am always busy with something, such as driving to a specific place or RP'ing. I don't have the time to still /gu and investigate 10 minutes just so that I can get unsuspected. If I am not busy with something then that's okay because I have the time to actually investigate and don't really mind. But when I am actually busy with something I rather let them kill me as it is much quicker than actually going to a police department to investigate. But if I'm busy with a RP then the RP is already ruined either way.

In my opinion cops get away so quickly when they abuse other citizens. Even if you /gu and investigate it doesn't necessarily punish the cop for their actions. Once the investigation is over what is actually stopping them from abusing another citizen? The thing that frustrates me the most is that sometimes I am being abused by cops that actually played on Argonath for 6 months +. The reason why they still abuse citizens is because they know that they can get away with it as punishment towards them is taken very lightly if there is actually any punishment.

i just need to know why I can't report a cop that abuses me. As I said above, investigating and unsuspecting a citizen doesn't punish the cop.

Thank You :)

I totally disagree.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

Point 9 tells you what to do if falsely suspected.

Point 9 tells you what to do if falsely suspected.

So in other words: "There is basically nothing you can do about being falsely suspected"

Report the officer in game, after that you have two paths: Either you try to teach the cop what he did wrong, and how he may proceed next time, or just turn your back on the subject and carry on.

What I see in most of the cases is just hostility towards the new officers, terms like freecop that is usually attached to a negative pattern. When I was called to investigate cases that people were "abused" I always talked a bit with the suspecting officer and try to explain him a bit of the Do's and Don'ts of the job. The unsuspected citizens usually flame and moan instead of making an effort to understand the beginner's side.

If you're so busy just serve your time, it will be three minutes max. So I don't get all the frustration over a 10 minutes investigation, where people just go around in circles making no point at all.

Also, every time you generalize, and say something towards all ARPD officers, don't forget to /rank yourself.

The problem is, if we would unsuspect every player that claims /su abuse and we didn't see it ourself, players would abuse us to get away with perfectly valid crimes.

That is why we are telling players to give up and get an investigation unless they want to run.

I hope my answer was clear enough for you.

All PMs saying "Look at my unban request!!11" will be ignored.

In need of assistance? Please send me a forum PM instead of contacting me ingame. Whenever i am ingame, i'm most likely busy with something else which means i wont be able to help you there and then.

So in other words: "There is basically nothing you can do about being falsely suspected"
:trust:

Quote
9. Falsely suspected (/su).
This is a daily matter and there is three ways you can get out of it.

First option
- Surrender and request an investigation.
- Obey the orders from the police officer.
- Have a polite attitude and explain your point of view. Point out mistakes the suspecting officer might have in a polite way so he can improve.
- Accept your punishment and if you disagree after an investigation can you file a complaint at ARPD homepage (If FBI Agent go here )

Second option
- Pedal in the metal and evade the law.
- Evading makes your crime valid.

Third option
- Live with it, get jailed and move on.

For these who complain on being falsely suspected and thinking it will solve by being aggressive and flaming the officer. What are you thinking? Instead of put all your energy on flaming you should put it on teaching and explaining, maybe also defending yourself in the investigation and prove the officer the opposite. The situation will only get worse if you have an aggressive attitude and the officer will feel threaten, not tempted to process you.

Feels like I am writing to a wall...

You wrote "I am always busy with something, such as driving to a specific place or RP'ing.". You are here to role-play, that means with everyone you encounter. You can't refuse to role-play. If you don't wish to role-play, go play sims as we say.

I don't see the issue here. You get suspected. Make your point through or just live with it and move on if you can't take it.

And if it really makes you mad, use the ARPD forums to report the officers with solid proofs.

So lets say..I'm RP'ing with a group and say I'm the leader. I have to /gu, go to the police department, investigate and during this time I receive a message saying they canceling RP because most of them are quiting and then have to just let it go? While the cop goes and abuses someone else. Sounds great

Although it still doesn't cancel out all the other factors. Understandable

Or do no drive like a madman ignoring requests to stop and then start moaning when you get suspected.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.
